The hotel has an excellent price/quality when compared to other hotels in the area .
This one has a great location close from the majority of the restaurants and just a few minutes away from the walk of fame.
In the morning the hotel provide tea, coffee and croissants to the the guest´s. It is possible to leave luggage after check out without any additional cost. The room we stayed had a free safe deposit box and a fridge.
We were in this hotel for the first time a week ago and when we return for more 2 nights, this time during our stay the wifi always worked perfectly.

· We had the same situation again as the first time we were staying at the hollywood hotel. We pay on Booking.com with an international card (we do not pay fees), however we did not have that card with us. According to the hotel, the same card that is provided for payment on Booking.com must be presented at check in to be left as a deposit. Once again the hotel's solution was to do the refund for the card that we had made the payment in Booking.com and pay in the reception with a physical card.
We already have been to other hotels in the USA and it was the first time that this happened to us in a hotel, because Hotel Hollywood has not written anywhere on Booking.com that the same card provided for payment must be the same that you have to show at the reception for the deposit.

I stayed here for 5 days and must say it has the worst WiFi system! The location was great near to everything but the rooms itself we’re quite old and not so clean in certain places. I asked the cleaner to clean my room but found she only emptied the bins but didn’t clean the bath tub or sink. Not sure I would stay here again.

Thank you for your review and for choosing our hotel. I’m happy to let you know we have upgraded the WiFi system as of last week !! I am truly sorry the housekeeper did not do more, we will surely have a conversation with the team and address it. Hope you can give us another chance! Sincerely, Front Desk Manager

The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Daniel at the front desk has a great smile and was helpful and friendly. The manager Joshua went above and beyond when we lost/accidentally threw away a receipt and he helped us look through the recently emptied garbage. The room is clean and the location is great!

If you need your hotel to be fancy, this is not for you but if you need a place to sleep and get ready for your adventures that also has a delightful staff, this is the place. I will be a repeat customer.

We had a disappointing experience at this hotel. We had booked the silver screen suite for our family of 5, which on the website was advertised as sleeping 5 people. However when we arrived it had only one bed. Management were unhelpful to say the least, we were told that we had not read the room information carefully enough and that it was up to us how we wanted to sleep our family of 5 in the one bed! If we wanted 3 roll away beds for the children it was going to cost us another $US150 per night on top of the $US300 per night we had already spent on the room. In the end we were downgraded to a two double bed room but still ended up being made to pay $300 rather than the $169 that that room was being advertised on the hotels website on the day we checked in.

It’s rare these days to come across such unhelpful management, and this was definitely the lowlight of our 5 week holiday in the US.

On the upside the breakfast was excellent and the front desk staff were super helpful.

A shady, trainwreck of mismanagement. DO NOT BOOK THIS DIVE through hotel.com, Expedia, Travelocity etc. I made this mistake and they cancelled me not days or hours before check in but when I arrived and had already paid $30 for overnight parking nearby.

Darlene the manager claimed there was an emergency but would not elaborate. I did hear here tell another guest the water was off but would be restored in two hours. She also checked in guests that arrived after us so it became clear to me they bumped us for guests that booked direct or after we did and paid more.

Darlene tried to refer us to another dump of a hotel but a quick look at the reviews let me know I didn't want to spend nearly two hundred bucks to stay there so I called Hotel.com seeking a better remedy.

That call took me an hour and while standing outside I noticed numerous cockroaches on the sidewalk and exterior walls.

The window AC units also sounded and looked anemic so between visible bugs and the shoddy run down appearance I probably dodged a bullet but the inconvenience was a pain and Darlene the manager was rude, unhelpful, and incompetent in every way.

I will applaud Hotels.com for upgrading us without charge to a much nicer location and added a $100 gift certificate for the inconvenience so I came out for the better, but common decency still leads me to warn others about this dump of a Hollywood Hotel and Darlene a woman clearly not equipped to manage anything except perhaps the horse of cockroaches swarming around this joint.

I never saw the interior of a room but I saw enough to have a good idea what I would have found.

I booked this hotel for a week long stay. EXTREMELY limited front "desk" hours -- was told I could check in only after 8am, and I've never seen anyone there after about 3pm. The rooms are sparse, the walls are very thin, and you can hear (and smell) other guests all the time. All this culminated on the last night when I got locked out of my room around 11pm. There is a phone number listed for after hours "security" but no one answered all night. I saw another guest show up with luggage in tow around 1am who was also unable to into contact with anyone or enter the hotel. It's now nearly 7am and still no response to my repeated calls and messages.

My daughter and boyfriend came to California for her birthday. They left last night for dinner and unfortunately left their room key in room. They called repeatedly the emergency 24 hour number for hours!!!!!!! Finally at 7:20am this morning they were let into the room and was told "it was their fault" ... Even though the security guard never showed up to work. They also had called the other hotels owned by these people and even though they answered not one was willing to help. Where is the owner or manager? My 22 year old had to sleep in the car in LA!!!!! Very unprofessional. I get accidents happen but how about some decency and at least offer an apology! Yes she is upset, she was scared to death sleeping in her car for 9 hours! Your responsibility to make sure your workers show up! If they don't they you do it. That's what managers do. I own a business, I know. Customers first. Next time have a little empathy and compassion. It goes a long way.

This place was terrible. The bed was uncomfortable (really hard, only feather pillows that don’t support your neck). The service was subpar. The reservation said it included breakfast which they just chose not to serve. There is a general dinginess to this place like it hasn’t been updated in years. It was so bad I checked out early from a nonrefundable reservation.

You must be looking out for this hotel that is located on a slope and once you drive up, though the office is to the left, there is mostly handicap parking. The hotel is older and only the vending machine by the office/check-in is functional. If your room is away, you may want to pick up a drink first. The room was spacious, but very dated and there was no coffee pot in the room. All was bare minimal.

$20 a day for parking and the actual parking lot is about a 3-4 minute walk from the hotel (not in the same building)
