Great located place, the beach, the gym... everything near there's a big deal. Next time I'll be there again withot a doubt. Even though we had to rent a car to visit other amazing spots, no problem. It's worth it

Booked this room few hours before our arrival as we were travelling down the coast. All good points - An average motel. • Got a cheap rate, clean spacious room on second floor • FREE CAR PARKING & WIFI • Toiletries and microwave included • 15/20minutes walk to the Famous Venice Beach • Supermarket just 1minute walk to the left...

The only part you will like about this hotel is the location. It is just about 2 mins walk from Venice Beach. Hotel is dirty and not clean at all. Could not stay for more than a day. DO not try to save money and book at a cheap hotel.

Overpriced , disgusting dirty motel . I asked for a no smoking room , and the bathroom was not only dirty , it reeked of tobacco over 10 years worth . Avoid at all costs . If could give it no rating I would . Staff are rude and overbearing, money orientated no customer care or service . If I...

Ok stayed here for a few days as was so close to the beach. Where do I start there was a homeless guy building a shack outside our window. The area is very shady the were people dealing drugs all over the area and property nothing happened to us we were just a bit apprehensive when we arrived. I would...

The city should condemn this place. It is not fit for human habitation. It should be illegal to charge money to stay here. It is run down, shabby, dirty, and moldy. The non smoking rooms are just rooms which have been smoked in for decades with burn holes everywhere plus a no smoking sign on the door. There is no...

We've been in near beach hotels in Venice area. One common thing with those are if you count out the super expensive is that they are quite pricy and still poor. If you like to go to the Venice Beach at the parking is always a problem and usually you end up paying 15-20 USD. This Marina Seven Motel is...

I felt the price was too high, but it seemed to be the going rate. Transient crowd outside might spook some people, and being close to Venice Beach, I'm sure there's been bad scenes with rowdy guests. We saw a lot of young folks traveling in groups, drinking a bit, but nothing too bad. Other than that, the room was...

Had looked for accommodations while visiting family in Santa Monica during high season. Didn't need a beach location just a clean place and good value to sleep and shower... was out most of the time. This place was expensive for location and accommodations. Booked thru Booking.com. I think the regular price was $50/night. Paid $150!! Would have been just as...

What a disappointment! As soon as I saw the black, grimy path from the door to the bed, I planned on calling relatives who lived around the area. I was hoping they would put us up for the night. Looking around, my husband and I could see areas where dust was thick. I thought maybe the two pillows were ok....

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
