We stayed 6 nights as part of a trip taking in New York and San Francisco - travelling with teenagers I was really keen to find somewhere central in LA with a seperate bedroom for the teenagers - we choose the Bungalow suite and I think there in lay the problem - the photos on the web and the majority...

Our family of three spent a few nights at the Villa recently for the beginning of our drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco with a few stops in between; we rented the bungalow. What a charming cottage! Roomy enough for all of us with a lovely welcome gift waiting as we checked in. Our rental car was a perfect...

We choose this place based on proximity to the Avalon concert venue. Great location to see a concert but you are better off taking a taxi from a hotel or B& B other than here. The room was musty, noisy, dark and felt like a dive bar. Entrance to our room was through a dark smelly alley that was confusing...

We staid with my husband for one night. Place is dusty and dirty even towels and plates. Nice pictures on the web, everything is the same, but 10 years older. Very loud noise from upstairs rooms and outside. No privacy since windows looking out to the driveway of the house next door. It's a good option if you need to...

My husband and I are finishing up our stay in the Neoclassic room so while I am sitting here in the kitchen, on the computer (internet access has been extremely reliable), and while everything is still fresh in my mind, I'd thought I'd share the highlights of our stay. Location, TripAdvisor reviews, and a fantastic promotional offer were our reasons...

We loved our visit at Villa Delle Stelle. We chose the hotel to be close to the Palladium where we were attending a concert, but the location is near many other attractions as well. The super-star at Villa Delle Stelle was our suite. We stayed in the Art Deco suite that had a full-sized kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms and...

We stayed for only one night on our return trip home from Vegas. And now wished we had stayed longer. We stayed in the English suite, and it was so immaculate and homely. The best part is not dealing with hotel staff, queues of guests and weary travellers. You are simply emailed the code for the gate and door and...

A beautiful, immaculate place to stay. We were in the Bungalow, and enjoyed being in a lovely old cottage right in the heart of Tinseltown. From here, it's easy to walk to Hollywood, or drive anywhere in LA, and it's great to have the option of self-catering and a laundry when staying for a few days.

I decided to stay here based purely on Trip Advisor reccomendations and the various good reviews it has are well deserved. We stayed in the Bungalow for 2 nights and it was our first stop after landing at LA from Heathrow before heading off on a drive across California. What we were expecting was good, and it truely lived up...

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Delle Stelle means House of the Stars. We recapture the glamour of the silver screen and allows guests to feel what it is like to "live and be treated like stars" from the foothills of the famous Hollywood sign. Co-owned by actors and entrepreneurs Susan Foster and Brogan Lane, each of the five suites are specially designed with a Hollywood legend in mind. Former wife of the late Dudley Moore and celebrity designer, Ms Lane bought the hotel in 2004 and renovated the neighborhood treasure originally built in 1924 to accommodate silent film stars including Buster Keaton for Columbia Studios (now Gower Studios). ... more   less
