This is an airport hotel -- not much else to say, really. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a 1-night stay before catching a plane the next morning, or when you arrive after a long flight and just need to crash. Decor is industrial, but very comfortable. Staff very nice. Frequent shuttle service to and from LAX. Rental car return is right down the street. Checks all the boxes for an airport hotel.
Great value for my family of 4. Excellent and efficient service from the front desk. Despite airport location, room is VERY quiet. Clean rooms. Good layout of the room. Starbucks in lobby. Gym open 24 hrs. Pool is outdoors, small and warm water. Only concern is signage in hallways — one can get lost and feel a bit unsafe in what feels like a maze.
Nice large rooms. Clean when you get here. However, do NOT expect fresh towels, bed made or any other housekeeping services. First day… oh I’m sorry here’s some towels, second day still nothing, then when I complained oh we will send someone up… ummmm… thanks for the towels I guess but I still have 2 days of wet ones in my room… complain again, oh it must have been a misunderstanding, 3rd complaint then it’s oh we only clean every 3 days!!!!! I asked for a vacuum as I had spilled food crumbs and suddenly housekeeping shows up!!
I don't even know where to start with how unhappy we were with our stay here. The room was in severe disrepair and was very dirty. We had one of the studio rooms (room 406). This room looked and felt like it had been partied hard in. Like not one, but maybe ten parties back to back. Where people spilled, got a little reckless, put a few holes in the walls, broke a few dishes, spilled some more, stole a few light bulbs, broke a lamp or two, and left behind all their grime. I wish I were kidding. The Living Area: The first sight we were shocked to see was that the back of the couch (the tops of the cushions) were all stained. With a crusty white substance...I wish I were kidding. My only hope is that a toddler spilled all over the place while eating standing up. So, needless to say, I immediately told our kids to STAY OFF the couch. We didn't even set our suitcases on it. It was filthy! One lamp was not working, and the other on the desk had no bulb. The Beds: The top blankets were the scratchiest things I have felt in a hotel (or motel) room. But the bad part was when I went to plug in my phone and saw the bed skirt between the bed and the nightstand; it was severely stained with what I would assume to be either red wine, soup, or vomit. I wouldn't make this stuff up... And we would have checked out at this point had it not been 1 am after a long travel day of long flights and it being our overnight layover on our way home. I've just never been so grossed out by a bed. The Bathroom: One out of two light switches worked. So the only light in the bathroom was the mirror light. That meant a pretty dark shower. The tub and shower walls were dirty. The weird remodel they did in that bathroom made it so that the shower curtain stopped about 2ft short of the end, which meant a pretty drafty cold shower. The Kitchen: The odd selection of dishes was funny. One glass, two mugs, three plates, and two bowls. We didn't use them, but there should be a standard of 4 of each one would think. As a whole: The room needed some serious maintenance! Paint patches had been done throughout the room with random colored paint that didn't match the walls. The carpets and couch needed a cleaning. The bed skirts need to be changed. The fixtures all need to be checked and maintained. The Service: The ladies who checked us in were lovely and quick. They did a great job. And no, I didn't bring this to their attention. We were jet lagged and ready for bed to prepare for our morning flight home. The breakfast was impressive, and the woman working in the dining area was nice and did a great job. This review is just about maintenance and housekeeping. :)…
This hotel is close to LAX and convenient for a pre-cruise stop after a long flight. They have a free airport shuttle that runs every 15 minutes, but our flight got in so late (after 9 pm) we had to wait quite a while to catch it because of delays due to traffic congestion. Our son’s family arrived earlier in the day and had only a short wait for the shuttle. There is pizza available for purchase near the lobby. If you like to plane spot, rooms facing the runway are great. If you don’t want the noise of airplanes, don’t get a room facing the runways. Unfortunately, our room lacked really hot water but that was an aberration. Others in our travel group had the necessary hot water.
Excellent stay! Right next to LAX. Very walkable to many car rental locations. In fact, I turned in my rental car early to Budget and walked back to the hotel. Self-parking was $24/day for hotel guests. There is a free shuttle to/from hotel to airport. It’s not too hard to get at LAX. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. If you like to exercise, there are plenty of sidewalks to run or walk. There is a Planet Fitness that is just 3 miles away. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Had many hot and cold offerings. Would definitely stay at this property again.
I booked a one night stay for two rooms on 12-08-22 and arrived early before 1pm. I was greeted warmly by Jasmin at the Front Desk. Jasmin told me that she did have some rooms ready and was able to check in both my reservations onto the same floor and as close as possible. Jasmin was very professional and efficient with the check ins. Later, when I returned to the lobby to get some items from the market- I had a very nice chat with Jasmin and also Eduardo at the Front Desk. My friend and I stayed a larger studio with two beds and found our room to be very well cleaned and set up. My other friend who would be staying in the king studio room hadn’t arrived yet. Since I had his room keys-I checked out the King room too. The King was also well cleaned. Nothing for my picky guest to complain about. After my departure, I messaged the hotel to ask the Housekeeping Manager about the housekeeper for these two rooms and fantastic job that she’s doing. So, special shout out to Sonia Delgado in Housekeeping!…
I enjoyed my quick one-night stay here recently. Michelle at the front desk was superb! She managed to meet my room preference, and even gave me a tour of the public areas. My room was spacious enough to do yoga, and designed with comfort in mind. The fitness room is very clean and spacious with natural light and a good variety fo equipment. The breakfast is tasty and plentiful. And the shuttle offers a quick ride to the airport. I'd stay here again.
- ‘Marriott’, i used to think, meant something — a reliable level of quality .. & service! - not any longer! - last night: * plane delayed; * arrive ~ 2 am; * i’m 84, wife is 76 … we are struggling to enter the place (enroute to Australia) with (4) 45# bags, 2 carryons; * 2 young chaps behind the desk … no other customers … neither moves a muscle. * 1st we learn (for 1st time in our global experience) we cannot use the luggage cart unless we leave our drivers license as ‘security’ to guarantee its return! * THEN we learn — on top of the room charge — there will be a WHOPPING ‘provisional’ charge of $250 … ‘for incidentals’ …… (what said ‘incidentals’ might be remains a mystery, since there were -0- optional items on offer in the room, far as we could see!) * & IN THE MORNING, we learned that this ‘provisional’ charge would not be refunded to us for ‘3 to 5 business days’! * wtf!!?? * certainly makes for a tidy ‘cash flow bonus’ for Marriott over the course of a year! - no more Marriott for us! - ever! - anywhere!!…
My daughter and I flew into LA for a quick weekend stay to attend a concert. The location of the hotel was very convenient, being close to both the airport and to the concert arena (The Forum). The staff was extremely attentive, there was never a long wait for anything. The staff, inclusive of the valet, restaurant team and bell staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, even offering great tips on how to avoid the pre and post concert traffic. The rooms were spacious and clean. I would definitely stay again.
