Stayed in room 202 1/10 to 1/12 This place is in a residential area on Sepulveda bl, a very busy street . The main building has 3 floors with indoor hallways. There are other 2 story buildings. They are well-maintained. The place was clean and safe and the staff was great. Fred should run for president. The street was noisy, but not at night.Internet, plumbing, hvacal all worked well The garage is a carport under the building .Some of the spaces did not have much headroom . There were spaces for larger vehicles. The garage was the only part of the hotel that not cosmetically appealing Parking is $11 a day with in and out privileges. I would not recommend parking on the street. You can steal and vandalize ,but I pity the fool who violates parking rules. They ticket and tow aggressively The lobby had complimentary water, fruit, and newspapers. There was an ice and vending machine, and travel coupons. The breakfast would make healthy eaters cringe. It was tasty and well- maintained by a cheerful attendant. There were cooked eggs, pancakes, sausage and assorted breads, cereals, fruit, yogurt, and beverages The outdoor pool was not heated this time of year. The jacuzzi was. The basement had a small gym and guest laundry, Pets are not allowed The room had comfy beds, a desk and dresser, phone, clock, iron, safe, and tv. There were 2 spacious closets .Plenty of plugs The bathroom was small. It had a hairdryer. The vanity area was not separate. No tub, just a walk in shower. There was a sitting room with a sofa bed, tv,cofeemaker, fridge, and microwave There was a balcony with a view of the street and a beautiful garden This place is cheap by LA standards. I spent a week at this hotel when I was visiting my daughter. The room was large (with a reading chair & ottoman), quiet, clean & comfortable. With someone at the front desk 24 hours & cameras in the parking area, I felt safe, even coming back late in the evening. The pool is small but it was nice to cool off in the afternoon. The hotel is just a block from the Metro & I was able to get to the Santa Monica Pier in 10 minutes for just $1.75 and without having to deal with the parking hassle & expense. The location - right next to the 405 & 10 freeways - was very convenient, only 15 minutes to the Getty Center! I will definitely be back.
A surprisingly quiet room on a very busy street. Staff was kind and helpful. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Lobby area was clean and had plenty of space. Food was good. What's not to like?!
Served our purpose. We were in town for a conference, so not at the hotel much. The room was large, but the bathroom was so, so tiny! The room was clean, but well worn. Bed was new and comfy. Breakfast was good. Internet was intermittent; the manager said it was not very robust and needed to be rebooted. So if the internet is not working call the front desk. Staff was very friendly.
This is a nice less expensive hotel option in a sea of expensive hotels. The staff is great, free breakfast, and a location that is close to may things in LA. The rooms could use some updates, but the beds were very comfortable. The staff is what really makes this place stand out as they were very attentive and friendly.
This hotel had many problems, it starts with the price. It is very over priced! It looks like an older hotel that is not very well maintained. The room we had was upstairs, dark, not very clean with dirty carpets especially inside the closets. The people were just ok, but did not go an extra step It seemed to me like the staff was overwhelmed. Inside the room, the plaster was coming of the ceiling. At breakfast it was crowded and some items were missing. Location is not great either, only 1 restaurant close that they off course recommend. It is a short drive from the Santa Monica Pier. We would not stay here again
The room smelt like sewer. The ac didn't work and it was cooler outside than the room was. The floor hasn't been vacuumed in some time. There was pee in the toilet when we arrived. We were forced to check out at 8am instead of 12pm because they decided to strip and clean our room while we were eating breakfast. They set our bags outside the door which forced us to check out.
Good property with access to nearby places. Rooms and amenities were as described on the website. Fred was very helpful with all the processes. Overall, you get what you pay for and it was a pleasant stay.
This hotel is a great value and the location is excellent for the westside. Staff is friendly and helpful. the manager goes out of his way to make you feel you are family and not just a customer. We will definitely stay here again when in LA.
Hello Fellow Travelers, All the personal, from the on-site plumber; bellman; to the ladies who cleaned our room with that special touch so we had to leave a nice stipend every day as our way of saying thank you; to Fred, the Manager. (I thought Fred was the owner in disguise because he was so accommodating.) Everyone went out of their way to make this our home away from home. Breakfast: This wasn't your usual motel breakfast buffet. This was a full breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, fresh made pancakes, waffles, yogurt, croissants; several choices of juice, and the list goes on and on. I'm a little, okay a lot fussy, especially about cleanliness. So, it's more than nice to go someplace and be surprised. We've been blessed with a 107 countries under our belts, so we know the good from the bad to the ugly. There was no doubt that this was the good. Thank you Best Western. We've now booked another Best Western Plus French Quarter Courtyard Hotel later on this year.…
