Room is very clean and everything works well. Nothing fancy, but a good basic place to stay. Outdoor pool is a nice extra, but it is not heated. No places to eat around this area but we ordered food by delivery. Room is equipped with a fridge. We spent here 2 nights while visiting the tourist destinations nearby. Bus stop M 210 is very close and bus takes you nicely from hotel to Hollywood Walk of Fame and back.

Hotel's Favourite
Decent enough hotel. Location is a bit out the way but easy enough to get and Uber or walk to places. Could do with some restaurants and bars in the area but that’s not up to me! Room was a decent size and the bed was comfy enough. Reading other reviews, they are right when they say it’s noisy, but for the price I paid and the time I spent in the room, I wasn’t too bothered. All in all it was cheap and cheerful and good enough for me to get my head down at night

The Hotel indicates no smoking. There were a group of people smoking marijuana and cigarettes right next to my window. I moved my room. This morning the morning male front desk told me if I keep moving my room I would have to leave. I am shocked by his behaviour towards a paying customer. There were police there this morning, people blocking the driveway entrance. This place clearly needs a security guard and new management. I will not be returning. I had came here last year and had a quiet and totally opposite experience. The guy at the front desk in the morning has horrible customer service skills no apology at all. I asked him for the owners information to voice my complaint. He just gave me a card with the Hotel phone number and online booking email address.

The pros: 1) good, mid-city location. Easy to travel all around the west side of LA from here. 2) very clean. 3) comfortable and felt safe. The cons: 1) in the middle of a business area, no restaurants or activities close by (nearest eatery I found: good Korean about 15 minutes walk). 2) Hallway noise--the hallways are concrete floors, so you hear every suitcase, and every door slam. 3) not enough parking. But I managed on the street. If I were to return, I would request a room AWAY FROM the pool, and facing south.

This small hotel is basic but quaint. It even has real keys for the rooms. There is a pool but it is not heated. The room was spacious and clean and there was a bathtub! Also, free parking! It was a very good deal.

Arrived to check in only to be waived off by the front desk attendant who was engaged in an argument on the telephone! Secured behind a glassed in desk area he was as disinterested as could be. Eventually a key was provided. Room was clean. Pillows (2) were the thinnest we have ever experienced. Similar super cheap quality of towels applied. The television did not work. Sleep was impossible with the constant traffic noise. Air handler was very noisy. Clearly whoever manages the property understands nothing about hospitality, staff are not trained and exhibit zero interest in guests we’ll bring.

If you are planning to only stay at the hotel when you are sleeping, this is the place for you. The hotel has ok standards and a nice place to spend the night. The wifi is slow and not always working. The air-conditioning is aggressive and it makes a lot of noise. LA is a big city. We needed a car no matter where we wanted to go, despite the hotel being in the middle of LA. The staff were nice. Overall a nice hotel for spending the night, when exploring the city in the day.

I wouldn’t have believed unless I experienced for myself. I got a room at The Dunes Inn on Wilshire and Windsor. It was a quaint Inn in adjacent to the Miracle Mile district of Los Angeles. Carlos Sanchez of their registration staff was courteous, professional and welcoming. He had me at, “hello”. I knew It was going to be a great experience. He went out of his way to accommodate me. The rooms had the latest amenities, well lit and extremely clean. The Dunes Inn is now going to on my travel itinerary!🤗
