Hotel's Favourite
First of all people say it is in a rough area and do not walk about after dark, they are right. But believe me that applies to 95% of Los Angeles. Outside of the main streets I would not be wandering after dark and I am not a shrinking violet. The hotel itself. Stayed 3 nights and on returning to the room every day towels had been changed. The rooms are comfortable enough and have fridge for keeping drinks and snacks cool. One thing they could do with is a kettle for a cuppa on a morning. I asked for a quiet room and I got one.....It was January so may be different in high season. Some say parking is tight again might be in high season. But to be honest barring down and outs we did not see many rough characters so maybe parking outside would not be an issue. Bit of a negative underground is about a mile walk but there is buses just the underground seems to be a bit easier to understand....We got lost a couple of times on buses. Overall no real complaints.

Decent stay and not bad at all. It was a bit noisy in the evenings outside my door and can hear through the thin walls. There are designated smoking areas outside but no smoking in the rooms. The AC worked well but it was loud which i didn’t mind since it drowned out the noise from outside. The rooms were pretty decent, but some of the bedding didn’t look that clean I could still see some marks. Looking at the pics posted, the bedding looked extremely old but my room looked completely nicer than the pics online. The inn is in a quiet area, the nearest stores and coffee shops are a 15 minute walk. I didn’t have much interaction with front staff other than checking in and out which was easy- deposit refunded right away.

The customer service was absolutely terrible. After flying here from Ohio for my birthday upon arrival. I was told that I couldn't check in unless I paid an additional fee. This was after I already told them I was going to be checking in late due to my flight. After paying the additional fee to check in I wasn't happy with the cleanliness off the room. I asked if I could check out and was told that I would still be charged for the day. Even though I paid to check in before the check in time. I would have understood if my early check in fee wasn't refundable. But to not want to give me a refund for the regular check in time was absurd to me. I would never recommend anyone to stay here.

Room is very clean and everything works well. Nothing fancy, but a good basic place to stay. Outdoor pool is a nice extra, but it is not heated. No places to eat around this area but we ordered food by delivery. Room is equipped with a fridge. We spent here 2 nights while visiting the tourist destinations nearby. Bus stop M 210 is very close and bus takes you nicely from hotel to Hollywood Walk of Fame and back.

Decent enough hotel. Location is a bit out the way but easy enough to get and Uber or walk to places. Could do with some restaurants and bars in the area but that’s not up to me! Room was a decent size and the bed was comfy enough. Reading other reviews, they are right when they say it’s noisy, but for the price I paid and the time I spent in the room, I wasn’t too bothered. All in all it was cheap and cheerful and good enough for me to get my head down at night

The Hotel indicates no smoking. There were a group of people smoking marijuana and cigarettes right next to my window. I moved my room. This morning the morning male front desk told me if I keep moving my room I would have to leave. I am shocked by his behaviour towards a paying customer. There were police there this morning, people blocking the driveway entrance. This place clearly needs a security guard and new management. I will not be returning. I had came here last year and had a quiet and totally opposite experience. The guy at the front desk in the morning has horrible customer service skills no apology at all. I asked him for the owners information to voice my complaint. He just gave me a card with the Hotel phone number and online booking email address.

The pros: 1) good, mid-city location. Easy to travel all around the west side of LA from here. 2) very clean. 3) comfortable and felt safe. The cons: 1) in the middle of a business area, no restaurants or activities close by (nearest eatery I found: good Korean about 15 minutes walk). 2) Hallway noise--the hallways are concrete floors, so you hear every suitcase, and every door slam. 3) not enough parking. But I managed on the street. If I were to return, I would request a room AWAY FROM the pool, and facing south.

This small hotel is basic but quaint. It even has real keys for the rooms. There is a pool but it is not heated. The room was spacious and clean and there was a bathtub! Also, free parking! It was a very good deal.

Arrived to check in only to be waived off by the front desk attendant who was engaged in an argument on the telephone! Secured behind a glassed in desk area he was as disinterested as could be. Eventually a key was provided. Room was clean. Pillows (2) were the thinnest we have ever experienced. Similar super cheap quality of towels applied. The television did not work. Sleep was impossible with the constant traffic noise. Air handler was very noisy. Clearly whoever manages the property understands nothing about hospitality, staff are not trained and exhibit zero interest in guests we’ll bring.

If you are planning to only stay at the hotel when you are sleeping, this is the place for you. The hotel has ok standards and a nice place to spend the night. The wifi is slow and not always working. The air-conditioning is aggressive and it makes a lot of noise. LA is a big city. We needed a car no matter where we wanted to go, despite the hotel being in the middle of LA. The staff were nice. Overall a nice hotel for spending the night, when exploring the city in the day.
