The hotel location cannot be beat for a stay related to something on campus. The location is outstanding and the hotel itself in terms of lobby, McKays for breakfast and the room (very recently renovated bathrooms I think) are definitely good. The only knock are the 1960s (?) windows that basically let sound and air pass through into the room. IF you do not pay for the "campus view", good choice as street noise will be less. The campus view side of hotel will feed a lot of noise into your room (as we experienced). That is my only complaint but a big one for light sleepers. Everything else about the stay I really loved, including the blueberry pancakes and the USC branding - including robes!! Get those windows updated and this place will be packed.

I am an online USC student who visited campus last week! My program recommended I stay at USC Hotel. It was a great experience. Fabulous in its proximity to campus. I felt safe and utilized the free USC Lyft service to ride back in the evening. I recommend families and groups stay here. Advise: there's no microwave in the rooms (at least in mine) and you must pay for room service.

The proximity to USC is excellent, but relative to services and amenities, it felt like I paid an extra $100 per night to be close to campus. The shower head is extremely low requiring you to limbo to wash your hair. The room size is average. Furnishings are clean, but dated. There is no hotel bar and the restaurant was only open for breakfast or room service. Next time I will stay downtown and take an Uber.

A great location for the USC campus. Courteous staff and the restaurants are good as well. We stayed for 2 nights and used the fitness centre which was decent with basic equipment. The multiple level parking is at the rear and is convenient. USC village is a 10 minutes walk.

Road noise is awful, drag strip. Cancelled second night because of noise. Students in hallways. No restaurant or bar in hotel, adjacent one may be open, Mysterious charge of $21 appeared on credit card for no reason. Will not go back, I am too old.

Very good value hotel not far from downtown LA. I attended two events at Crypto.com arena and found it very convenient to get to and from the arena using this hotel as a home base. The Metro light rail train, a 5 minute walk away, provides easy access to downtown. I found the area around the hotel quite safe to walk around; I can’t say the same for most of downtown LA. The room was comfortable, good temperature, and clean. However, the rooms are showing their age with things like peeling wallpaper and nicks in the paint. Overall, I highly recommend the USC Hotel.

TO DO AANAPISI - APAHE Conference - pre conference as well - Alexandra - Nirosh - Ben STEM Workshop Programming I checked in on Thursday, 2/1 and upon arriving to my room I found I did not have a desk. I attempted to call the front desk, only to find out the phone in the room wasn't working. I called the front desk on my cell phone and explained that I needed a room with a desk since I'm there as part of a doctoral program wherein we do have coursework to complete. I was told that not all rooms have desks and that I should have specified that I needed a desk when I made my reservation. I found that odd to have to request something that is part of a normal room set up at most institutions (and the hotel itself has desks in other rooms). I explained that I was not aware of that policy and it were an actual policy, that it needed to be a part of the reservation form. The front office then said that they could not move me to a room with a desk, but would check to see if they could get a desk moved to my room. They would also send a technician up to check on the room phone that did not work. They indicated that they would call me back to let me know. I never received a phone call. On Friday, 2/2 I went down to the front desk to check in on this request. They indicated that they had no record of this, and that "sometimes the people in certain shifts don't leave notes." So, I explained the situation. This time though, I had an added situation. The tv in my room did not have access to Netflix and it kept asking me to restart the system. The front desk rep went with me to my room to check on this. I shared with him the desk concern, and he also said that he'd get one moved to my room and the phone would be replaced. He also indicated that he needed a tech to look at the netflix issue. He left and came back with another gentleman, who said that he didn't know what to do, and that the person who did wouldn't be back until Monday (2/5). I could live without the Netflix, but I felt like I would at least get a desk and working phone. I never heard from them again. I gave up on this, but did want to find the person who helped me on Friday. He was nowhere to be seen all weekend. In all, it wasn't a bad place to lay my head, but I felt that I should not have to pay so much for things that were never addressed. My room rate was $295 a night, plus taxes and parking, which left me with a bill close to $1000 for something I felt wasn't worth that amount. I t

My wife and I stayed here the night before her surgery close by. We had a room facing campus and Figueroa. If possible, stay on the opposite side, as it can be noisy. The hotel is nice, and has a pool and gym. Lots of places to eat close by. Most were closed on the Sunday we were there, but plenty of other spots. We had access to the executive suite for food and drinks. We would stay again if in the area. Parking is $35, but most hotels in LA charge for parking!

The traffic noise is really loud which made resting/sleeping challenging. You can hear everything going on outside from honking, sirens and people yelling. If you are on any USC related event/business, it is very convenient to be close to campus.
