Traveled to Los Angeles for work and needed to stay at the Westin Bonaventure. This was my fourth extended stay in the last five years and was absolutely the best one. I missed last year during which the hotel went through a major refresh. Soon as the shuttle arrived I was warmly greeted by the doorman who lead me into...

I had previously written about a prior stay with the Bonaventure and had disclosed my disatisfaction with my stay. The Bonaventure contacted me and asked me to give them one more try so I dediced to stay there one more time. I have to say that the Bonaventure really redeemed itself on this stay. The staff at the location were...

We stayed at the Bonaventure for 6 nights and had the buffet breakfast everyday. It was really fresh and they had a nice variety. Loved the atmosphere of the bar in the open concept lobby. Staff were very friendly and the pool was great even though it was downtown LA and surrounded by skyscrapers it got hours of sunshine. Lots...

Great staff, great breakfast, nice room. For a city hotel, it is a good size room. Not huge but decent. Very clean, robes in room. Nice shower with rain shower head. Was here on business. In hotel there us a great spa. A few of us went there for a good relaxing day. Breakfast is not part of room, but...

Service was amazing, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and our special needs traveling with a toddler. Had a great view from the 26th floor. Short walk to the beautiful LA Library and a slightly longer walk to The Great Hope Park which was great for my daughter. Lots of food options as there is a...

I spent 5 nights at this hotel for a conference. The hotel is located in downtown LA, and it has a strange architecture (4 round towers joined toghether in a central circular tower). The shape of the building (round) results in rooms shaped like pie wedges. However, the room was large, and with a very nice view of downtown LA...

Stayed here for 2 nights. The suite room was great. Clean, modern design.. you name it. Staff were friendly and best part of it all, it was in the downtown area. about 8 blocks away from Staples Center, a couple of blocks away from Angel's Knoll park. I'm sure the building is old and iconic, but the lobby gave a...

We arrived late and they had no kingsize bedroom anymore (this had been reserved), we therefore got a 2 bed bedroom which was great and really big. Phantastic view. They got us free wifi and removed the parking costs for the inconvenience. Breakfast was no the cheapest one but absolutely phantastic! All around a wonderful stay there!

Last night I spent the night at the Westin in a suite. I payed over $300 for one night. Overview: - no blankets were brought to me after calling twice -parking fee is $40 a night -my suite didn't include complimentary breakfast (had to pay $22 a person for buffet) -sheriffs kept coming into the hotel -no privacy at all...

We liked the Westin Bonaventure. Once you've checked your car in at Valet for $40 a night you walk through a corridor to the escalators that show you all the movies that were filmed at the hotel. A who's who of actors, DeNiro, Depp, Cruise and many more have shot scenes in this hotel. Once you're up in the lobby...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
