I stayed here whilst here on holiday with 2 other friends, we were able to come to LA as almuni with our Uni. It was all ore booked. The hotel is in a great location, opposite the hotel there is a Ralphs, we were able to go easily and pick up supplies. Also a short walk down there is a...

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at in LA. Imagine a 70's Motel that has been done up by pro's to a very good standard. It's a super cool hotel. Bands and party goers will love it. It's not plush or luxury it's just stylish and very well put together and clean. You are in...

We choose the lodge as it was located close to a friend's house. Our room was spacious. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The tub in the bathroom had been refinished. The coating in the base of the tub had cracked and left about a one inch in diameter opening on the base of the tub surface. Also, the tub...

The hotel was very nice and clean, modern design. Perfect location if you want to go to Universal Studios (they offer a shuttle). We missed the shuttle but it's only around $7 with Ueber. The restaurants is nice, portions are huge and service was wonderful; pricy but's to be expected for the location. All in all a wonderful stay.

The good things: location (close to Universal Studios, Burbank airport and Ralphs. The bad: smell of the towels and sheets, some towels had a paper sticker like they have never been washed, balcony was at the level and at the parking lot, the walls were paper thin, the walls, molding, bathroom was old. This is not a cheap hotel, but...

Large rooms that have been updated. Great breakfasts for purchase in the Patio Cafe. Conveniently located and yet quiet. The 600 area is close to the Cafe, the lobby, the garden, and the pool. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Lobby bar seems never open but the poolside bar is open.

I hear that the venerable Sportsmen's lodge has gone through a few incarnations. Yes, this is on a great location right in the middle of the Valley. Close to Universal and the Getty, and not too bad to Downtown, but beware the traffic on the 101 can be a nightmare. Now for the place, big, comfortable rooms. It is clear...

Both my parents and my in-laws have stayed here. I found the hotel to have a mid century modern feel. Check-in staff were nice and the lobby had fruit infused water and saltwater taffy. The rooms were simple and had a portal for electronic devices. The pool was my favorite part of the hotel. It's not fancy, it's a simple...

We were visiting family in Studio City. Room was nice, spacious, had coffee maker in the room. Our room had a nice balcony. Breakfast is not included and the food served is good but very large portions. We did not use the pool but observed others enjoying it. Rooms are clean, we did notice paint pealing in places.

The Sportsmen's Lodge is a Hollywood historical landmark which they have upgraded to be a lovely boutique style hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful.
