Once again, Kevin Finister and his team ensured that I had a reurmarkable stay. I was provided with an outstanding complimentary upgrade due to my frequent stay staus, and I was blown away. I was able to entertain corporate clients in comfort and style, which was a tremendous benefit both personally and professionally. I am always greeted with a smile and outstanding service. This is the best hotel in the Los Angeles area and is only surpassed by it's outstanding service. I'd like to give my personal thanks to Noah as well for helping make my stay so outstanding. Ryan J
Our first visit to this hotel turned out to be better than we expected. This was mainly due to the kindness of the staff. Big shoutout to Roberto at the pool bar for ordering our food and making us comfortable in a cabana. He really went the extra mile. There was also a wonderful gentleman who stayed with our bags while we checked in and then brought them up to our rooms. He was so welcoming and helpful. I wish we could remember his name (Julio?). We loved the fact that we were guaranteed connecting rooms. The shuttle to the park was convenient and came approximately every fifteen minutes.
Convenient location. Stayed 6 nights with teenage kids. The room was spacious BUT we were put in a connecting room on the 20th floor. Walls were paper thin. Three different guests in the connecting room. Could hear everything loud and clear. I did complain to Management and they did address the issue but recommend to ensure that you are not staying in a connecting room unless it’s your family in the connecting room. Convenient shuttle runs every 15 mins to and from the park which is very handy. Metro station walking distance (recommend not to use tho unless you’re ready to experience LA culture at its finest (homeless, smell, fights)…. Big shoutout to George the Valet who was most helpful in assisting getting our bags to and from our Uber.
First the good: there’s no hotel more convenient to Universal Studios. That said, I wouldn’t stay again. I paid for 2 queen beds but was given 2 doubles. When I complained the manager gaslighted me White Lotus style, even though I measured the beds at 52” wide, saying that there are a wide range of queen sizes. It’s frustrating when someone lies to your face instead of admitting a mistake even when it’s funny on HBO.
Very cold inside the hotel Very low quality food in the restaurants, taste bad and low quality Concierge ignored our complaints about temperature and it remained extremely cold to the level that my family and I became sick
All the employees are super friendly and efficient, the room was great, and the in house restaurant is outstanding!! This is my 3rd time at this one, very professional operation! Also, the free shuttle to and from Universal is a nice touch. I’ll be back here at least once a year.
Stayed here when we were going to Universal Hollywood. Loved it great views from the room and a five to ten minute walk to Universal all on sidewalks and very well lit. Stayed with kids the stay was great. Has on-site parking garage that is easy and affordable to do self parking ($35/night).
Victor made us feel so welcome and took great care of us! 10/10 would come back again just to see him! Maya at V on the Hill was also amazing … she was super sweet and had wonderful recommendations.
Pros: The closest hotel to Universal Studios Has a few restaurant options Bell hop is great to store luggage if you're going to the parks Nice-ish Cons: Went in January, the lobby and restaurants were freezing. We had to eat fast to get back to our rooms. It is very surprising they haven't found a way to solve that. Older-ish. It's glory days were were a few decades ago. Verdict: We'd go again for a Universal Studios stay.
Great location for visiting Universal Studios and Hollywood. Self parking was easy. Check in a breeze. My room was ready on arrival and that’s always a nice surprise. We were on the 11th floor facing the park. If you’d like a good view of the park I’d say try to get a room on the 15th floor or higher. We couldn’t see much but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us. The walk to & from the park was easy. Maybe 10 mins max. If the rooms had better in room coffee I’d give it 5 stars. I’ll definitely stay here again when visiting the area!
