Strolling into Venice
I need a place to stay
We checked in on a Friday mid-day, and were greeted immediately by the valet. The young lady was very friendly and welcoming, and immediately sent us a text message which had a link to call for our car at anytime. We then went into the...More
The hotel's location is quite wonderful. It's a short walk to the beach and boardwalk. The beach view from designated rooms is very nice. The upstairs, outside lounge is quite hip, happening and loud until around midnight. So you need to decide in advance that...More
The hotel couldnt be in a better location for visiting Venice. The beach & boardwalk are right next door. The hotel is well designed but maintains its sense of "Cool" while being classy and very clean with all the amenities you would expect. We had...More

Thank you for reviewing your experience at Hotel Erwin. I am happy to hear that you have stayed with us multiple times and had great service experiences, but it disappoints me that your most recent visit was marred by an issue with the sofa bed....More
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it
happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
