The hotel was clean and right that is directly on the Venice beach boardwalk. All of the hippie culture was right outside our door as was the beach. Studio style apartment was comfortable. The custodians were amazing and helpful with places to eat visit walk run. Had a great stay.

It was full of life n things to see n buy, but I only bought from one vender- a beautiful butterfly bracelet. Had a wonderful time but kept in shape- did a LOT of walking! Ate at a cafe called Rosa's ? I think, across from the Gold Gym Fitness Center where Arnold ( actor/ CA mayor) goes. It was...

You really immersed yourself in the Venice Beach community experience, didn't you?! Everything you shared reminded me of why we recommend that our guests bring "sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes and an open mind" on their visit to our boutique hotel on the Boardwalk!

We stayed for three nights enrolee to Hawaii. We love Venice and it was the best location ever. The Manager and staff were great. There's loadsa free stuff to borrow and to take to the beach. Small but large felling room & kitchenette, with a side view of the boardwalk and beach. Betsy was a nightmare though (LOL!). I guess...

This is fun, you're very kind! Not everybody loves Betsy, our 105 year-old birdcage-style elevator with the firm brakes! We often joke that "they built the building around her" and that the ride is part of the experience staying at our quirky, boutique hotel!

If you want to be on the beach, amongst the collection of 'shops' and tourists on Venice Beach then this is a good choice. Great customer service, good rooms with kitchenettes and a lovely roof terrace for your own drinks etc... Stayed there as a single middle-aged woman and felt very safe.

Stayed 3 nights, would have stayed a 4th but no availability. Great location in an historic older building, clean and well maintained. Granddaugher (12) loved the 104 yr old elevator, Betsy, and the proximity to beach and skate park. Lots of places to eat nearby, and a grocery store in easy walking distance. Mini kitchen in unit was great for...

Family of 5 (kids ages 10, 8 & 7). There was nothing that we could've wanted that wasn't in this hotel. Our suite had an incredible view, our check in guy was very helpful & informative. I LOVED our room & the location of the suite. The elevator was certainly entertaining too ;)

Great location, nestled in with all of the cool shops, fun and quirky vendors, and what an amazing view of the beach and skate park! Days were spent walking along the beach and boardwalk and the evenings spent on the wonderful roof top deck enjoying the fire pit and the wind off the ocean. My room was cute and spacious,...

Venice Beach Suites & Hotel has a great location, fronting on the boardwalk and beach, which is where the action is in Venice Beach! Reception was efficient and friendly, we were welcomed and informed of the hotel ammenities as well as local info. Our partial ocean view room was spacious, bright and clean, with a view of the beach. The...

We appreciate your fair and honest presentation of your experience! It is important for prospective guests to know that our historic hotel does not have on-site parking available but that there are public parking lots nearby for overnight parking. This is a normal arrangement along the Venice Beach Boardwalk.

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
