This is a fun and interesting little motel from the 50's (assumed) with three floors of rooms overlooking a pool in the small center courtyard. The bathroom was completely renovated/updated (not sure whether they all have been) and the room was clean and nice. If you have to have "only the best" then this is not for you but if...

We stayed four nights at the Beverly Laurel upon arriving in LA. Had a fabulous time! The hotel is basic, but great value for money. Perfect for a 30 yr old couple exploring LA, and not needing a 5* hotel room! A car is a necessity in LA. Pros: large rooms, location! Easy walk to farmers market, in a nice...

First impression of this motel is that it is not safe, basic, and OMG, I wish I hadn't booked this! However, after staying there, I realized it wasn't that bad. I am a woman who was traveling with three daughters (ages 18, 12, 8) and here are my observations: 1. Man at check-in was very efficient and nice. 2. You...

I've stayed at this motel before (it's not a "hotel" of any kind), and it has been quieter, but this time around there were too many loud drunks arriving at 3am, too many little kids running down the hall in the early morning (and slipping and falling and crying and screaming). I'm not sure there's a better deal to be...

BLM is a good decent hotel at convenient and safe neighbourhood. The double bedded room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for 4 adults. Room equipped with kitchenette - fridge and microwave. No coffee / tea facilities and no wifi. Attached Swingers restaurant serves good priced food and has free wifi. Pool in the middle of the hotel courtyard. The...

One of the few in LA that allow pets for a charge. 60's feel. In need of a bit of updating. Room smelt of cleaning chemicals and carpet was damp with it for the 2 days I was there. Inner wing was quiet. Heard another customer complaining of noise in the night during check out and asking why she was...

My husband and I and another couple stayed in two king rooms for 3 nights. This is a good basic hotel which is clean and in a good location close to the Farmer's Market and the Grove and Swingers Diner next door. Parking is $5 / day and is in the underground car park of the hotel, the bays are...

We got a king room here for 3 nights and found it perfect place to explore LA from. We hired a car and the parking was handy and cheap. Rooms are decent enough and the burger joint next door is open late and really handy. Perfect for an exploring couple or a group going to concert/event. Lookl elsewhere if you...
