Great location - easy access to LAX and rental car return. Room was modern, good size and very clean. Ate at the bar downstairs and was pleasantly surprised that the meal was pretty good (for hotel pub food). Bed was very comfortable.

I'll begin by stating that my review has a bias due to having to stay here after a missed connection at LAX and it was only 1/2 of a night. A to-be-nameless airline paid for us to be there for the night. That being said,...More

You know how sometimes you roll out of biz class, stagger through immigration, hustle through customs, jump in a taxi and hit the hotel... only to realize you left something super important in the back of the cab? Yup. Panic stations. Did this just recently......More

We arrived at LAX from RDU on a red-eye flight. We waited for about 30m for the airport shuttle. Other hotel shuttles had made 2 trips by then. The shuttle finally arrived. It's seats at the back of the bus were torn and had little...More

We can check you in early only on a space available basis. Much of it depends on previous night's occupancy and how many people depart early. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

It would probably be better to stay at a hotel closer to the cruise terminal in Long Beach; there are a plethora of hotels near the terminal. On the day you board the cruise it can be kind of hectic and I always prefer to have a short easy trip to the terminal rather than a long traffic congested one if possible.
If you need to stay at a Crowne Plaza and want to be closer to your final destination, there is one in Long Beach near the USS Missouri.

If you are happy taking transport from LAX to any LA destination then yes. The hotel is 5 minutes from the airport that is why we use it - almost walking distance! The free shuttle runs approx every 15 minutes to/from LAX terminals so you can plan to depart without the fear of traffic jam. I presume to get to/from Long Island terminal you will arrange your own transport (approx 23 miles) so the reason to use Crown Plaza is for ease of access especially to depart LA. You are intending to stay two nights upon arrival so it is a simple shuttle from LAX to the hotel, for sightseeing though e.g. Hollywood, Universal, Getty, etc the options are: Bus (apparently a long torturous journey), Cab (likely expensive), Uber (less expensive), Private Driver (we have done this numerous times and the concierge will assist). There is little to do in the shopping precinct one mile walk away so if you wish to see LA then you will need one of these options. Naturally the one other major thing to consider is what time does your cruise depart so that you arrange plenty of time to get across in the LA traffic to the terminal. Hope this helps.
