Great place and fantastic location. Rooms are lovely, staff are exceptional and the restaurants are terrific. This is a must stay resort. Dog and child friendly. A truly wonderful experience you won't regret.
What a wonderful 3 day stay we had!!! Perfection from the moment we checked in! We arrived at around 2 and our lovely room was ready: had a great view and even a balcony! The resort is very zen surrounded by greenery and mountains. It smells so healthy! Nice little hikes all around, the 1km around the resort is so perfect! This place is tucked away but it’s easy enough to go to different spots from there! We loved going into Canmore! And we were happy to come back and relax here! Rooms are well appointed, modern and clean! Shout out to Chelsea, a housekeeper who went out of her way to replace our towels etc! Pool area inside with slides is perfect for families and the hot tub goes from inside to outside! Very inviting and RELAXING! There’s also the Nordic spa right there! From 6 to 9pm they have s’mores you can make outside on their deck! We really enjoyed the on-site restaurant and patio! Sat on the patio 2 out of 3 nights! Our lovely server Megan made us feel at home right away on our first night! Another awesome server is Heidi in the lounge area! Such a delightful personality! On our last night on the patio we had Maddy who took care of us as well! Cocktails and craft beer were on point!!! Food is delicious and fresh!!! Awesome experience all sound! DEFINITELY recommend this beautiful resort! Thank you and we will be back!…
One of the most memorable trips. We were part of the cabin fever 2023. We had the opportunity to dine in one of their restaurants. The staff at the Forte went over and beyond for us. Rocky Dsouza was absolutely wonderful making sure all the guest were well taken care of. Sous Chef Zoeb Khan made me the most mouth watering vegetarian dishes. Sanjeev and I are so thankful to the staff of this wonderful establishment.
Spend a night at Pomeroy lodge and had an amazing time! Starting with friendly and helpful staff, continuing with spacious and well equipped room and ending with outstanding Nordic Spa - Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is really treat :) We definitely will be back!
The hotel and spa are beautiful! We had such a great time. Damon, PJ, and Sophie were amazing! We had a slight hiccup on a prearranged event and the staff did everything possible to correct it quickly. I cannot wait to return.
I really enjoyed my stay here for a conference, particularly due to the outstanding gym and Nordic spa. I stayed for 4 nights, and it was very comfortable and pleasant. The hotel was a little busy and loud, primarily due to the large number of families with small children on vacation. But otherwise, it was very pleasant and fun. Obviously, the highlight is the location with beautiful views and ample hiking opportunities. The highlight was the Nordic spa. I had attended the Nordik in Ottawa-Gatineau multiple times and really enjoy the experience. This one isn't as large, but it was plenty for me. It was well worth the time and money, and I had a phenomenal massage to end my night. The gym was also quite good (important to me). A few more weight training machines and bigger space would have been nice, but it was very functional. However, they need to enforce their age limits - there were too many children using the gym, which felt unsafe and made it loud at times. Overall, I would recommend staying here for business travellers!…
We booked a family room at Kananaskis Mountain Lodge on November 2nd/22. Everything was alright with the room, and we love the location and friendly staff at this hotel. Our big issue was the heat was on in our room and would not shut off, bringing it to a scorching temperature of 24-25 degrees C, when the thermostat was adjusted down and AC even turned on. We called to engineering and they assured us it would cool down eventually with the thermostat set correctly. After a long night with an infant and a toddler being uncomfortable and much too hot, engineering came out the next day to inspect the HVAC unit for the room. They determined there was a malfunction causing the room to overheat. After talking with the front desk, no upgrade or anything was offered despite the hotel being quite empty being shoulder season and our stay being during weekdays, but we moved rooms for the second night of our stay. We have always had good experiences with Marriott (Being a gold elite member) with multiple stays at these hotels throughout the year, until this time. After multiple conversations with guests service representatives and a few emails since our stay, we are completely dissatisfied with what was offered for compensation from our nights stay. A small percentage off booking of a future room doesn't make this situation right in our eyes, and for these reasons I'm leaving a 1 star review. I hope future guests don't have any issues to deal with such as this because the staff will not make things right. The hotel has a lot of potential, and friendly staff but its starting to show it's age as evident in the heater malfunction we had in the room during our first night.…
We had a 2 night stay here towards the end of a 3 week road trip across the western US and Canada. Over the past decade we have stayed at some of the top resorts around the world and after staying here this property is now one of our favorites. Full disclosure: I may be biased because Marriott treats its elite guests well and the suite upgrade is not something you expect or see every stay. Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise are well known. Kananaskis less so. But that works to the area's advantage. The area was definitely less crowded compared to the other parks of the Canadian Rockies. The staff gave us an orientation and recommended some hiking trails that were within proximity of the hotel. The most surprising aspect of the resort was the quality of the restaurants. The dining was absolutely great. (sometimes it is hit or miss, because the resorts know they have a captive audience). Be aware of the following Though the parking is "free" you need an Kananaskis parking pass (you can purchase it by an app or via phone). Since the parking pass is required at all the trailheads, it wasn't a big deal. But if you are planning to stay in the resort only, it is an unadvertised charge. You know you have a great time when it is hard to leave. But we will be back…
My husband booked a suite for 3 nights at The Pomeroy to celebrate my birthday. As someone who owns a small inn, I am always looking to see what other hotels are doing to upkeep their properties in order to give guests good value for the price. Unfortunately, the room did not deliver as we had hoped it would. For $650 plus per night we had expected more. The room was clean; however, the view was not good as it overlooked the roof from all angles, the heat/ac were not working properly and the tv was very old and challenging to use. We are Bonvoy members and typically rave about all Bonvoy properties, however as others have said we will not be booking again.
Overpriced. Fairmont prices for a run down hotel. My room had a fridge that didn't work properly and ruined half my food. The drain in the tub was a half inch off the bottom of the tub, meaning water was going into the floor somewhere before it could go down the drain. The pool was run down. Tile missing. Kids splash area was cracked and broken in many places. Sauna out of order. Rust everywhere in all the beams and coming out of soffits. None of the lockers in the men's room worked. Many were screwed shut. Any that opened were rusty. Several soap dispensers were missing in the shower. The water cup dispenser in the gym has a sharp screw pointing out of it. The toilet in my suite stopped working. That's just on the first day. And they have the nerve to charge 600$ a night? The playlist throughout the hotel was great though... Excellent taste in music. One star just for that. But seriously run down. I would much rather stay at the Fairmont in Jasper for those prices. Breakfast buffet was sub par too. The coffee in my room was also gross. They also had us check out and in every morning which was irritating. They couldn't consolidate the stay in any way... If we didn't check in the key would stop working later that day. It was just a weird place. I've never had such an experience like that before. The views are nice of course, but they can't take credit for the mountains, they were there first.…
