A lovely country inn tucked atop a beachside bluff in beautiful Malibu! This antique inn has antique values - great customer service. We offer ocean, mountain and garden view rooms, private patios and a heated pool for those who don't want to go in the cold ocean a block away... Our median price and exceptional customer service make staying here an unsurpassable value.

Note that I never actually went. I'd made a reservation and then canceled it 2 days later (well within their 72-hour cancellation policy requirement), and they ended up still charging me (over $900!!!!!) for the rooms, even though I clearly have the cancellation confirmation email from them.

Owner Hamil is mean, rude and a trickster. He increased the price of my reservation when I called and postponed it by 2 months without telling me. When I found out I called him the next day and asked why “he didn’t disclose there would be a price increase?” Trying to work with him I was flexible enough to simply request my original reservation back in which he cruelly replied he booked my room out the same night and basically “tough luck.” He actually said over the phone amidst our conversation “Take your life.” No wonder the nice restaurant on that property is gone.

Went for a one night escape from LA in Dec; walking distance to the beach (and cocktails at the Sunset). Clean and quiet room, comfortable bed and new bathrooms. Helpful and efficient check-in. Very happy with the stay.

Hidden gem in Malibu. Stayed 1 night passing through and wish I'd had more time in the area. My room was cozy and bed was comfortable. Keurig in room with a variety of coffees and cream was a plus. Staff was welcoming and helpful. I'd stay again!

Dirty room, no heat, broken stuff (shutters, “gas fireplace,”) rude customer service. Trust me- save yourself from booking here. I’m easy going and it takes a LOT to frustrate me. This place took it to a whole new level.

Prefect location. Cottage type classic. Great deck with ocean view. Clean and cozy. All amenities needed. Bathrooms newly removed. Staff very friendly and we felt valued. Highly recommend for Malibu hide away. Directly off highway 1 and very quiet.

We stayed one night last weekend and could not believe we paid over 500 DOLLARS to stay here. The room was on the level of a Motel 6, but honestly less clean. Our room was a double queen bed and it was very, very small. The room had no air conditioning and even with the windows open it was SOOO hot that I kept waking up throughout the night. Our balcony had a chunk of wood missing from the wood slat floor- so it would be dangerous to walk barefoot without getting splinters. There were cobwebs in the corner of our room (ewww) and dust/dirt in every corner of the room. If we paid $100 to stay, I'd understand but for the price this is ridiculous!

Let's start with the good - front desk staff, very helpful and took care of refund. Cons: does NOT look like the pictures, bathrooms were dirty, not airconditioned, dingy , musty. Walked in, turned around and walked out to a different hotel.

Horrible stay! Paid for a suite and received a MOLDY room, lights in bathroom did not work, holes in the walls broken furniture, glass all over the parking area, our view was a pile of construction and no chair on the balcony which the photo showed. Manager was not there on the weekend and while the hotel operator provided a discount... it was not enough.( poor customer service) Gross!
