We were lucky enough to spend 3 nights at the Mendocino Farmhouse staying in the Cedar room - which is a cabin amongst the redwoods. What a magic place - calm and tranquil - just what we needed. We enjoyed our evenings in front of the open fire with a glass of wine. Margi, our host, was wonderful - and... More

Mendocino has become a popular and pricey destination, and I found it unexpectedly hard to locate affordable lodgings. We were lucky and couldn't have been happier. The Farmhouse is delightful, beautiful, and charming, surrounded by gardens and mixed redwood forest, only a couple of miles from town center. We stayed in the Cedar room, a large room with a sitting... More

We stayed at the pine room which decorated in French country style. The room is charming and newly renovated which opens to a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and cute chickens. We got to see all 3 rooms upstairs in the house as well and all have been decorated nicely Overall the whole place is very welcoming and well... More

We spent 2 nights at the Mendocino Farnhouse this week. It is located close to town in a redwood forest. The property is brimming with fresh flowers and artistian chickens that produced eggs for breakfast...and the charming Inn Keeper makes her own fresh lemon curd and home baked bread. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. This B&B... More

The quiet location and breathtaking solitude filled with flowers and surrounded by redwoods made the short drive to downtown Mendocino well worth it. The room was comfortable and pretty. Perfect for my daughter and me. Breakfasts were simple but nice and the coffee was good. The innkeeper is her own sort of person. I've been to several bed and breakfasts... More

The Mendocino Farmhouse B and B is a very, very nice place. I would have given it a perfect 5 rating except for a few things........ The coffee was really bad, even thought the breakfasts were great. No late afternoon snacks or evening sweets....nothing except breakfast Kind of hard to find, especially at night. A few more signs would be... More

This is an amazing hidden gem hidden away just a few minutes drive from the city of Mendocino. We stayed in the Cedar room, which is a very quaint and secluded cottage just a walk away from the actual farmhouse. The room had a fireplace, already prepared for us with real wood. There is a hammock outside and lots of... More

The Mendocino Farmhouse B&B is a fabulous value if you are looking for a rustic, quiet and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of noise and traffic. The rooms are warm and cozy with a fireplace and wood already prepared to be set alight. Immaculately maintained and cared for by the owner/proprietor Marge who prepares a delicious breakfast each... Very nice bed and breakfast 2 miles away from the Mendocino downtown. The setting is beautiful with redwood trees, beautiful lawns and a wonderful host, Margie. We stayed in the Cedar room for 3 days and enjoyed our stay very much. Do not understand the negative reviews of the place. Would definitely go back here and would recommend this place... More

We returned to Mendocino Farmhouse after far too long since our last visit. We've stayed there in the '70s, '80s and the last time in 2002. Simply put, it is the best of B&Bs - - and we've experienced many over the years. An early 1900s-styled home nestled in a majestic forest and yet just minutes away from the Mendocino... More
