We had a wonderful stay here over Christmas. It is very affordable yet offered oceans views with two rocking chairs and a great wood burning fireplace. It is close to downtown Mendocino yet is very private. The grounds are beautiful and, even though we thought the Hollywood theme might be "hookey," in fact it added to the charm. Wonderful home... Our first time to visit Mendocino and this property is well kept, very clean, loved the old west theme. Lou and Melissa were very helpful and made our stay truly enjoyable our daughter did not want to leave. The complementary wine and the bake goodies are a really nice touch. We will definitely be back.

After many other stays on the Mendocino coast we especially enjoy returning to The Blackberry several times each year. Guest services staff consistently provide a clean, comfortable & private environment in the very beautiful coastal setting. Can't wait to come on our next already scheduled reservation. This faux western town is really cute. Some pet friendly rooms, homemade goodies each day. A free (albeit small) bottle of Husch wine. Clean, comfy, mini-fridge, some dishes and utensils, microwave, TV. Would definitely stay there again.

We arrived and were upgraded from the Saloon to Margerite's Millinery. This was a large king room with a fireplace, patio and jacuzzi tub. The fireplace was all set up and when we lit it, the fire burned perfectly for a long while. There is a view of the ocean from the tub and from from the bedroom which has... More

We've stayed here several times before so we definately like it. It is in a quiet location and other guests are usually considerate. The little basket of food treats they give out is nice, and they encourage you to take fruit from a good selection in the office. The treats will vary, but the cookies and lemon cakes we had... We stumbled on to Blackberry Inn and it was wonderful. The people at the desk were friendly and responsive. They gave us a cute little basket with yummy cookies and muffins and even a bottle of wine which we had for dinner. The room was cozy and clean. It had a hairdryer and other welcome bathroom items. It was the... More

Comfortable, warm, really quiet inn complete with lovely cakes in the welcome basket. Real fire in the room and an ocean view. It was magical listening to the ocean as we fell asleep and awoke. It is slightly out of town - we walked along the highway which is possibly not advisable - but it's good value and the rooms... More

“Avoid The Bank!”
  • Two hangars. Are they kidding?
  • Spots all over the carpet. Probably the source of the bad smell.
  • Can't they see the drapes are about to fall down?
  • Crumbs on carpet near baseboard. More inattention by the cleaners.
  • How tough would it be to touch up the caulk on the bathroom sink?
