A charming historic building centrally located in Mendocino with shops and restaurants and the beautiful headlands all close. We booked a standard room and were slightly disappointed when we checked in and were told we were in a luxury suite up the road, because we wanted to be in the historic building. However, once we saw the luxury suite I...

MacCallum is a beautiful quirky old Inn. The main house and garden rooms are in a great position just one street back from the main drag of Mendicino. Other rooms are in property half a mile away. A very nice cooked to order breakfast is included in the room rate. The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their...

We arrived without a reservation. We were offered one of 2 small soulless rooms, functional and grossly overpriced at 199, then negotiated to 179. Thinking nothing else would be available we took the tiny room later discovering rooms were available MUCH less elsewhere. Reception is awkwardly placed in a second floor nook. up the porch steps, up again, huddle around...

I was staying in suite #33 and changing into a bathing suit to get into the hot tub that's in the room's private patio. We had the curtains to our room wide open and a man walked into our patio area when I wasn't wearing any clothes! I called the front desk and they were completely unapologetic. They said guests...

I have been coming here for almost 40 years and try to always book the upper barn suite. The fireplace is huge and stone and the view from the bedroom is of the harbor and part of downtown and is perfect. This is a place to come to be romantic and take long walks around the headlands and the town....

We have lived in the area for 16 years. During that time we have stayed at many hotels in the area for anniversaries and special occasions when our children were young. The MacCallum house is by far our favorite. Recently we stayed at Ocean song which is a vacation rental. It was very clean, nice and had all the comforts of...

amazing and service was awesome. we got a deal from trip advisor, so there was no choosing of which room it is. Dinner was expensive, but the food and organic mendocino wine was worth. bathroom doesnt had a rug which caused us a little bad, but still apart from that evwrything was a good experience for us.

My wife and I love to fly up to Mendocino to get away from our busy life. We love to stay at the MacCallum House Inn. We stayed in room 17 in the barn. It has a hot tub on our deck outside, jacuzzi indoors, sauna, and a wood burning fireplace. The bed is very comfortable and the view is...

We spent two nights at the MacCallum House Inn. We rented the Ocean Song house. It is a two bedroom house, a short walk from the Inn. The views from the deck, living room and master bedroom are spectacular! The house itself is very nice except for the downstairs bedroom and the two bathrooms. Both bathrooms need work. The vanities...

My husband and I booked the honeymoon suite, room 32, at this Inn for our 30th anniversary celebration. What a disappointment. When we entered the room there was a very strong odor... we think it was pet urine... so strong we had to open the sliding glass door in spite of the chill. No amount of fresh air would change...
