We made a last minute resveration sight unseen at the maccallum house and it was the finest accommodation of our 2 week trip up the coast. It is a bed an breakfast house and everything was absolutely perfect. The price was reasonable which included a terrific breakfast and the staff were very friendly. Also, eat at the reastruant downstairs it...

Our visit started with the indifferent reception at the check in desk and progressed to finding our room somewhat unclean. Being animal lovers we appreciate that this is a pet friendly establishment. I didn't appreciate that their was still dog hair in the bathroom and the crumbs of pet treats on the floor of our room. Speaking of the bathroom,...

The MacCalllum House Inn delivers comfort, charm and a warm welcome year after year. From the delicious breakfasts to the excellent dinners the dining is pleasurable. The surrounding gardens are lovely and the in-town location can't be beat. There are a variety of accommodations from which to choose.

We booked one of the holiday rentals - Room 34 - Jedediah Smith. The cottage is spacious and certainly large enough to house more people than my little family of three. The cottage is situated toward the back area of Mendocino though this should not put you off as the town is small and everything is easily accessible by foot....

Dinner here is always so good. My favorite dish is the Clam Chowder soup, without exaggerating it is the best I've had in my life. It is not too creamy, more brothy than creamy. This dish is full of clams, bacon bits, and potatoes. I absolutely love it. The wine list is excellent, and the ambiance is great. The fireplace...

We stayed one night in the suites up the street, they are huge with lots of amenities. We had the honeymoon suite with views of the town and ocean, we were sorry that we didn't spend another night it was so spacious and comfortable. The breakfast included with the room was also very good and served at the main house....

This "ancient" Inn is an absolute delight! Their menu is outstanding and the free breakfast is delicious! They have a wrap around glass enclosed porch which we ate in. Great views of the area. We stayed in the attic room and the bathroom was down a flight of stairs which we loved. Mendocino is such a beautiful town and this...

Perfect get-away retreat comprised of inspirational views, superb welcoming staffing and one of the most comfortable beds known to (wo)man. Within walking distance to everything the town has to offer, including the beach/river but at the same time the suites are tucked away offering solitude and peace. It always feels like the stay is too short. Highly recommended for this...

This beautiful inn lives up to its reputation, with beautiful grounds in natural landscaping, on a quiet street with view of the ocean, with rooms that look like cottages or barns from the outside, but are luxurious and comfortable on the inside. I stayed in room 8 and loved the room, with a large bathroom with claw foot rub. My...
