From the moment of checking in we knew this was going to be a delightful experience. We were invited to the welcome drinks and the hospitality continued with the attentive service of the host at JD house. I was impressed by the delicious breakfasts, rather more than a standard "continental" and the cleanliness. Our host was also helpful with information....

A charming house. Cozy room with view. Everything is first class. We are received by John who is kind and helpful and indulges us with wine and freshly baked cakes. We get good advice on walks in the area and the next morning we are spoiled with breakfast in a basket brought to the room. Wonderful! We would like to...

Our room at the Blue door Inn was beautiful. I am a designer and I chose this place because of the furnishings and design. I usually select first on location and second on affordability. Since we thought we might be hanging out more in the unit, I wanted a soothing, relaxing and beautiful experience. I loved the fireplace in the...

Our room was in the JD House, queen junior suite with 2 queen beds. Contemporary design, clean and quiet. Located in the back of the main house in a "coach-type" building with 4 units. Each had access to porch overlooking a small garden area. A sliver of ocean could be seen from these rooms. What made the property so inviting...

We've stayed at The Blue Door previously. We plan to return, Walkable to all the shops and restaurants in Mendocino. The inn is quiet, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The bed is comfortable. In addition to your room, you can enjoy wine in the living room.

What an amazing couple of days. Our stay at the Blue Door in Mendocino was without a doubt one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating stays that we have ever experienced. The facility was very stylish and warm. The breakfast could not have been more perfect. The room was idealistic. And the location was nourishment for the soul. Thank you...

We booked a queen room in the Blue Door Inn itself. When we arrived, we were told that there were no available rooms for upgrade (which is complimentary for Lark Club members). Fine. The room we were assigned was the Sandringham, on the first floor. We noticed a slightly musty smell and quite a bit of hallway/ kitchen noise. We...

We were very sorry that in your quick visit to the Blue Door Inn you decided not to stay with us. At the time of your arrival, we were in the midst of wine hour at the property and it is a bustling place at that time, though most of our guests love the experience as you can see in...

We had an amazing stay at The Blue Door! The manager of the property greeted us with freshly baked chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies which put us in a great mood after a very long trip up the coast. We stayed in the Buckingham suite which was the nicest room we have ever had in any inn previously. The king...

Wow. Just wow. Can I give them 6 stars? We were welcomed upon arrival with thoughtful and concise information on Mendocino, and what we might enjoy, as well standard info about our B&B. (I am a UX and content strategist and can appreciate the thought that went into the material.) Our room included a phenomenal view, luxuriously comfortable linens, amazing...

We loved our stay at The Blue Door Inn. We stayed in the quaint and cozy water tower room for the first two nights of our honeymoon, we loved it! It was great. John couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! He gave us good suggestions for activities and was very friendly. The breakfasts were also tasty. We had two...
