We got to the hotel late and was told parking had to be reserved a head of time, nobody ever told me that. So we had to go find parking on a street somewhere. Then the elevator took forever, the hallways are dark and I couldn't find where to put the old fashion key to our room. The room was...

There is history with this hotel that goes back almost a hundred years. That gives it charm and atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is very good and there is an elevator. Unfortunately it is recommended that you park on the busy street around the corner because there really isn't much of a parking lot. If you...

We are proud of our hotel's history & appreciate that you too value the charm we have to offer here at Hotel 1110. Part of that charm (& the reason for the rooms being on the smaller side) is that originally the building was constructed to be used as a hospital! We find that to be pretty neat. To our...

We stayed 3 nights in this charming hotel/B&B. I think I'd say right off that if you are looking for a typical hotel with all the amenities, this isn't for you. If you are looking for charming and a delightful experience, then this is it! Also, think European city B&B and you'll like this place a lot. My only complaint,...

The Hotel 1110 is just the right place for a road warrior like me who dislikes the large scale hotel chains. Reasonably priced just off the main drags of Monterey. Run by a lovely sister / brother team Nash and Nick Yaqub. The decor is delightfully personalized and quirky assuming one likes something different from the "canned" look. It's gems...

Neat old building that is hardly noticable as a hotel from the outside. But once inside you discover it has a lot of charm. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Actually was two separate rooms with separate bathrooms. The rooftop lounge/bar/restaurant was pretty cool for a drink and appetizer before heading out for the evening. Short 10 min walk...

This place is a treasure for adventurous folks with curiosity and humor! Its an old hostel that only had one bathroom per floor, which has been updated (and re-plumbed) for use as a hotel....its absolutely off the wall, with old Victorian furnishings, an elevator that is as fast as an Italian tank, and an open rooftop restaurant with the best...

A tale very much of high and lows: Highs - Excellent roof dinner & drinks, good service. Beautiful view, nice heaters. Free breakfast was wonderful. Impressive decor and dishes (of you are into that; I am not). Lows 1. Parking is awful, or non-existent. There are about 5 parking spaces, and I assume about 15 rooms. Even if there was...

We spend a couple of nights here - the room was small but clean, bathroom ok and breakfast was identical both mornings which is ok if there are more than 2 choices. The man who we think is the owner was not interested in anyone and did not interact in any positive manner. The hotel is also on a busy...

It was like walking into the Bates Motel from Psycho, after our long drive from Santa Barbara we couldnt believe it!! it was out of the Addams family set.. Walking into this hole was a true shock to the system. One of the worst hotels in USA I have visited. I do not understand how it been advertised as a...

Unfortunately this was an awful, dingy and surreal 4 night experience, staying in this hotel, during our 3-week US trip travelling from Las Vegas to San Fransisco. Poor quality rooms and decor (leopard pattern cushions and cheap canvases), dirty communal areas (filthy carpets) and tacky furniture and doesn't reflect the, absurd overworked, professional photos as seen on booking.com. This hotel...
