We did not book this hotel thru Trip Advisor (first mistake!!), but I wanted to share my thoughts on our experience so that others will not be disappointed as I was. We paid premium rates for a 2-night stay. I was sorry we had committed tot his place, as I'd have left if It wasn't prepaid. Outside hallways to rooms...

Myself and my husband stayed at this hotel as part of our honeymoon. We thought it was incredibly charming hotel and our room was just gorgeous. The welcoming bottle of wine and chocolates was a lovely touch also. A very romantic hotel!

Had a great weekend stay at the Hotel Pacific. Both rooms were huge. One room had a king and the other was two queens....both fantastic! Beds were comfy, fireplace, sofa, kitchen table, deck with chairs, nice bathroom with two showers, fridge and microwave. Nice outdoor seating with a fountain and a very "hot" hot tub. Nice breakfast in the morning...eggs,...

The hotel is very Montereyish, but it needs a lot of work. We had a double jr suite and it was very spacious and pleasant. The shower had mold on the floor, the covering in the walkways is torn. We did not see a maintenance man the four days that we stayed there. The breakfast is minimal at best. We...

Like most things in life, expectations are key. When I travel I try to keep my expectations very low and then I don't get cranky if they are not met. If you want modern, everything new and shiny, then this is not the place for you. If you want charm, are willing to put up with a few things that...

Everything about this hotel was charming. The room (suite) was beautiful with a massive pine bed, a fireplace in the sitting area, a kitchen area. The tile floors gave a southwestern ambiance. The courtyard was full of sunshine and blooming flowers and a tinkling fountain. The location was downtown, but not noisy. The service was excellent. Life should be so...

We recently stayed at this hotel while we participated in the Big Sur International Marathon. We liked that it was across the street from the Monterey Convention Center and close to where the buses were picking up the runners for the marathon. The hotel was clean and comfortable but the overall facility and premises are somewhat dated. The breakfast was...

Just finishing a two night stay in a Junior Suite at Hotel Pacific. The price point would lead one to believe it is a high end hotel. It is not. It is average, at best, priced as a premium destination. The decorator of this Junior Suite is either color blind or incompetent. We have a red-orange bedspread with something of...

Stayed in renovated suite, lovely bathroom with two showers. Spacious living area with dining facilities and patio with a view of bins. View from suite very poor, lots of background noise from adjoining properties. Had to pay for parking, $19 per night. Good buffet breakfast. Service from admin / management was poor, rest of staff very helpful, though did have...
