1 bed, 1 sofa, 1 char, 1 desk, TV, cable
Shower have no hot water enought. needs to turn on and off to get hot water.

Lots of Chinese tv channel.

The door have spaces that let the light get in the room.

Spend just one night, and thanks god I haven't spent more.

We base our reservations on pools and jacuzzis due to our kids being the right age and this motel out-and-out lied about having one. They don't even have an ice machine for their guests. Simple liars. I don't know to blame them or Agoda or Trip Advisor; obviously nobody visits them or confirms their bogus amenities and claims.
If you point out their outside marquis claiming to have a jacuzzi; they suddenly don't speak english.

The hotel has just changed owner and basically caters to mostly Chinese clientele as they only speak Mandarin when I called to reserve. This hotel is located in a quiet section on E Garvey Ave next to a little shopping complex with a decent Chinese restaurant that opens early to late. Hotel also has a small dining area at the lobby where they provide free Breakfast but I didn't try. We went to Chinese restaurant next door for some delicious Siu mai soup dumplings served with a side of French bread and Coffee w Condensed milk..
The hotel is motel style where you can access your room via a main staircase on the outside with parking lot in the middle. No elevator that I can see and the building has 3 floors.
Rooms and beddings are very clean, bed comfortable. AC a bit loud but kept room cool. Would like to stay again but not sure how convenient it is to get here from LAX. Our friends picked us up n drove us around as LA is not a very public transport friendly city.

Do not stay here. When we got into the room, there were 5-6 cockroaches crawling on the bathroom floor. Breakfast is mainly Asian, porridge and pickles, cereals... cleanliness is definitely questionable.

We chose the Garvey Inn for its location near family we were visiting, not recommended if guests are in LA for more touristy reasons (unless there's a real desire to drive, the inn surrounds a fairly good size parking lot for guests). Room with clean faux wood floor not a dirty carpet, 2 queen beds with comfortable bedding, mini fridge and television. Usual motel setup, vanity/sink counter outside the bathroom and a separate room with a small narrow shower and toilet combo. The usual breakfast is included (waffle maker, eggs, breads, etc.) as well as a few Chinese options (congee, tea egg, etc.).

We stayed here because we were visiting family that lived nearby. Hotel was clean and acceptable, but only had the basics. The bathroom could use some upgrading. Our room was large compared to an average hotel (we had the 2 queen beds). Definitely is catered towards Chinese families (Chinese stations available on tv, Chinese breakfast items, in addition to your standard free hotel breakfast). Very convenient to restaurants and downtown Monterey Park. While downtown Los Angeles was half an hour away without traffic, most of the time, we planned an hour of travel time to get to where we wanted to go.

Room Tip: We preferred the upper floor especially since the room opened to the outside.
