A clean, comfortable and pet friendly place to stay at a great value. Centrally located and convenient to everything. The staff is always friendly and the self check-in process is a breeze. We will surely return again and again.
The outside sitting areas attracted me to the Inn and the location. There were 2 nights available and stayed there. The location was great for me and my dog for taking walks even first thing in the morning. The room was perfect for my stay. Also liked the ladies in the office who assured me of the cleanliness of the room and area and wore their masks. Important. Enjoyed the cinnamon rolls that were compliments of the Inn with a coupon for both days, the taffy and the goody bag for my dog. I definitely would go back.
We have stayed here before and my parents stay here as well. It is in a fantastic location, close to the beach and near wonderful restaurants. I like it because it is off the main, busier part of the Embarcadero and closer to the rock. The rooms are small, but how much time do I spend in the room? They are perfect for what we need. They have a wonderful outdoor seating area that has wonderful views. I will stay here again and again, especially since they happily accept pets. There was no charge for the dogs when I booked directly through the hotel. My dogs loved their goodie bag that came with treats, toys, and blankets.
A small front storefront showing with some outdoor seating area meets the eye. I had the budget room and it was small. TV, minifridge, coffee. Nothing fancy. Breakfast nook an almost "I don't give a s**t" appearance. Coffee, hot water, couple of cereals, apple, tangerine, orange juice in a get-in-get-out room. Three outside seating area inviting for mingling. Next door you get a decent cinnamon roll. Better if had raisin and walnut, but it is complimentary, even if an hour late. Location is closer to the rock than others on Embarcadero Rd. Can walk to it. Restaurants in both directions. Sea lions or seals not loud. Sea otters right across street.
There is alot of true in the expression “First impressions mean everything!” When we checked into the motel we were greeted by a unkept mature woman with BIG hair who clearly did not want to be there. Her attitude was very abrupt, curt and not at all warm and welcoming. I was a bit surprised when I heard her talking on the phone to an apparent future guest, telling them she was busy and they would have to call back. I thought to myself ....WOW! does the owner know that you talk to all potential guests like that?... (very taken back to say the least). Our room appeared clean but extremely outdated and in desperate need of a makeover. It appears as though the carpet has not been changed out in decades. The bath room had an old shower with cracks all over the tiles, poor quality toiletries and one ply toilet paper kind of like something one might expect at a motel 6. A bit surprising considering we were paying $240.00 for the room that night. Another big Opps! is this place has paper thin walls, so make sure to bring ear plugs if you stay here or you may be kept up all night listening to your neighbors having sex like I did!! The continental breakfast is great if you like cereal with NO MILK, wilted fruit and BAD COFFEE. In my opinion, the only 2 good things about this place was they did give us a business card that offered two free cinnamon rolls at this AMAZING little diner called FRANK AND LORA’S right next-door!! (GREAT DINER with excellent food and service.) Also, our room had a view of the big rock and thats it! D- And I’m being generous.…
