We couldn't tell what rooms looked like on the inside, however it seems they are fully renovating the whole place. The frames for the sliding glass doors look like high-end wood....Can't wait to see what these rooms look like after the renovations. So far they promise to be as beautiful as the view. So now the hotel will be in...

We got a room at the top floor and that give us a very nice view out over the Pacific Ocean and that was the best part of this room. The room really needed a complete renovation. There must have been many years since it was renovated. If the room had been in better condition, this place would have been...

There are plenty of reasons not to return. Everything is very old. The walls are paper-thin, and as the neighbors demonstrated, the box springs are very loud. The bathroom stunk of bleach our whole stay. Though featured prominently on various booking websites, the pool was "closed for the season" with no prior notice. The room, though visibly clean, smelt old...

Recently had the opportunity to stop by a room, actually two rooms, that my daughters were staying in. My husband and I had stayed at this motel in the early 1980's. I was totally shocked to see that the decor had not changed! Furniture was the 1970's stuff that we had. It was ridiculous. The bedding was old and dirty...

The room I stayed in was a 3rd floor room with a fireplace. From the outside the motel looks cozy enough. The hotel has no elevator, which typically isn't a problem for me, but the stairs are uneven and loose, making it especially difficult in the rain. The room was dark, dingy, and musty. I tried opening the doors to...

Arrived here unannounced and found the guy at reception very friendly accommodating. Motel was clean, large rooms and near the pubs and cafes. Would definitely stay here again. Small, simple but very welcome breakfast in the morning.

We left Pacific Grove and rode along the coast to the cut off for the famous 17 mile Drive but motorcycles are not allowed to travel on it. Big bucks buy privileges! So we headed to hwy 1 south toward Big Sur. and along the coast. This is our favorite stretch or road to ride. Since this would be the...

Stopped over for a night to make an early start of Kayaking on Morro Bay. The staff were friendly and curtious, yes the motel is a little tired, but they work hard. For us it was ideal as the ADA accessible King room was perfect for my wife who uses a wheelchair. Some hotels the beds are now too high...

The Breakers Motel is an old motel, but that doesn't mean it has to be uncared for. The new doors (replacing the old sliding glass doors) look nice, but the furnishings need some attention. The cushions on the chairs had no padding and there was a big hole in the sheer curtain. The Jacuzzi was out of order. And we...
