I discovered this Inn by purchasing a Groupon for a Wednesday night stay. When I arrived I was totally impressed. I'd never been on the south end of Morro Bay but the location is across the street from a County park and golf course. The initial impression of the hotel and grounds was that it was beautiful and well taken...

Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros for my husband and I at this hotel. Pros: - Location is great if you have a car. Property is right on the bay/ocean, beautiful surroundings with park next door, and golf course across the street. Short drive into town. - Nice grounds and beautiful lobby and restaurant (didn't eat there so can't say...

Dear California Traveler 12, Thank you for your recent stay at the Inn at Morro Bay. It is always a challenge dealing with loud neighbors, however we should have called and gone to the room to quiet them down. We appreciate your comments and have met to discuss your concerns. We are working towards continuing our renovations, including bathrooms. We...

The Inn at Morro Bay is a nice getaway! On the far end of Morro Bay walking distance to the Embarcadero if you like to walk far! The rooms are ok, need to be updated, rather on the small side. If you get a bay view be sure to get the top floor or you will be looking at the...

I will begin with the good: the hotel is within the gate of the state park, and the location is ideal. It is on the trail to the preserve, and the views are beautiful. The hotel lobby is bright and tastefully decorated...and that view! The room was nice although a little worn (big dent in walls, chipped paint, etc.) Now...

The Inn is located in a beautiful location. The lobby and restaurant have been redone and looked spectacular. But as I moved the suit cases to the second floor I saw a pile of accumulated bird droppings on the hand rail leading to our room. I asked two maids to clean the railing so I could have a clean hand...

Dear Cap Cod Blackie, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to write a review. We are constantly working to improve and appreciate the information you provided. The hotel is perfectly placed in a State Park between Morro Bay and the Morro Bay Golf Course. The views from the dining room and some of the rooms are directly toward the bay. The rooms are very clean, spacious and many have a gas fireplace. The second floor rooms have decks that have a spectacular view of the bay....

We stayed here last year, on our way on Pacific coast highway from San Jose to Los Angeles. It was pleasant enough. They were redoing the reception area so things were somewhat disorganised but we managed to have a good stay nonetheless. The room we had, I think one of their better rooms, was good and had a decent view.

This hotel more than met our expectations. The room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and the view of the bay from the second floor balcony was unbeatable. The lounge/restaurant had similarly spectacular views and served a tasty dinner. The grounds were nicely landscaped, the staff helpful. Located at the end of Main St., it was peaceful and quiet, a short...

Morro Bay is a favorite place of ours but we had never stayed at the 'Inn at Morro Bay' since it is away from the central part of town.
