The Andaz Napa garners appreciation for its lively atmosphere, complete with live music and a popular restaurant bar, despite some comments about the need for hallway updates. While the central location receives high marks for convenience, opinions on the rooms are mixed; guests commend the cleanliness and occasional upgrades but note issues with size, noise, and maintenance. The staff's friendliness stands out, though the service can be hit or miss. Cleanliness is generally praised across the hotel. However, some guests question the value, pointing to steep prices and unmet expectations for amenities and in-room offerings.

Decent downtown hotel, nothing special but if you want a downtown location and don’t plan on spending a ton of time in your hotel room it does the job. We had recently stayed at the Andaz in Costa Rica and were blown away by the luxury and the service. This was our first Andaz experience and when we were planning a trip to Napa we saw an Andaz and thought it would be on the same level. This is was not the case, it’s just an average downtown hotel. The showers are large, rooms are small, but to be fair we were given the opportunity to upgrade for $30/night at check in and chose not to without having seen the room. Live music in the lobby was a nice touch, as was the included self parking. The bartenders work very hard in the evenings.

We walked down to the Archer to look around and grab a drink on their rooftop. This hotel looked like what I had expected. If you’re looking for more of a luxury stay I would choose the Archer, if you’re just looking for a good downtown hotel to lay your head down at night and save the $$ the Andaz is a solid choice.

Totally excellent stay. As a Hyatt globalist we took advantage of a suite upgrade to a nice corner tower room, very spacious with standalone tub, and complimentary full breakfast every morning in the restaurant. Foods were well prepared and service was excellent as well. Hotel is in very nice condition. Self-parking in building behind the hotel included in destination fee or there is optional valet parking too Front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, except of one bighead who shall remain nameless. Hotel is very close (walkable) to ox bow market (and model bakery) as well as downtown napa. Very excellent stay. Bravo Hyatt Andaz Napa.

We just spent 3 nights at the Andaz - our first experience of Napa. Loved it. The hotel is wonderful. We stayed in a suite - not sure if all rooms are suites - which was one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. Staff were laid back yet extremely helpful and efficient. Loved the Mercantile roof top bar, which had some cover and heaters for inclement weather. We loved Napa and will definitely return....and will definitely stay at the Andaz.

This hotel has very little space for guests to mingle. The lobby is booked for evening musical entertainment and the patio is available but you are expected to purchase drinks or meals. Rooms are small and daily housekeeping was not automatic. Breakfast and coffee and bottled water is not included but water is available in the lobby carafe. Very disappointing.

My wife and I booked this hotel to celebrate our 20th anniversary. There were quite a few things that did not meet our expectations. One was that we did not receive housekeeping service after requesting daily housekeeping. We left the room at 8:30am and returned at 3:30pm to find the room had not been serviced. Our server at breakfast did not check on us at all. We had to request water 3 different times from other staff. We had to chase down our server to request the bill at the end of our meal. For a suite, our room did not have lotion or slippers. Mini bar was not stocked. Being a Hyatt Globalist, front desk staff that checked us in did not explain any of the Globalist benefits. Although we had noted it in our reservation, there was no acknowledgement from the hotel about our anniversary. Not even a simple congrats. All in all, quite a disappointing stay.

Recent trip to Napa we stayed at the Andaz. Upon arrival we were greeted at the door and by the hostess at the desk. She was very welcoming and acknowledged that we were here to celebrate a birthday.
The lobby is very nice with large windows that look onto the street. There is comfortable seating areas and a large bar.
Our room was a very nice size with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had double sinks and a very large shower with a great large rain shower head.
The Hostess, Victoria, was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations – every spot she recommended were fabulous.
The location of the Andaz was perfect to walk to restaurants, cafes and shops.

I would encourage travelers to talk with staff and ask questions of the area.

Steak and egg, detox juice, and green smoothie not included in globalist free breakfast. Was not informed at check in so was met with surprise at check out. Manager insisted I received a letter saying this upon check in though I didn't. Refuse to listen or solve problem, stubbornly insist I got the letter with no proof. If the hotel could pull the surveillance video of my check in, the manager would see she's wrong. Not sure if this is manager's tactic for charging over globalist free breakfast to all globalists, or her way of profiling guests.

You can’t beat the central location of this property with lots of shopping and dining options nearby. The offering of a wine sample upon check-in as a nice touch. The live entertainment in the lobby was also great. The room itself, while spacious and comfortable, was a letdown. The curtain sheers were shredded, the shampoo dispenser didn’t work, the shower and bathroom sink water took forever just to get warm, and the television reception was spotty. We didn’t spend much time in the room anyway (wine tastings!!) but were expecting a higher level from this hotel. We did an evening Terrace Cabana rental and would not repeat, as the cabanas are free for anyone to use anyway, the cabana was not heated as described, the included charcuterie board was skimpy and in general the price of the rental was just not worth it. But we did love downtown Napa and the surrounding area!

Courtyard view suite was nice. Lobby ambiance is nice. Self park was conveniently located behind the hotel and I was surprised it was included in the destination fee. Check in staff is friendly and welcoming, offering a welcome drink. Food quality and attention to detail is on par or better than Park Hyatts. Yogurt parfait is not your standard yogurt parfait - it was freshly prepared with fruits and compote on top. Overnight oats had great toppings. Avocado toast was not just avocado on toast but a full on egg sandwich and the optional salmon was excellent as well.

We returned to this hotel for two night after staying only one night last year. Once again we weren't disappointed. Starting with restaurant suggestions by the concierge :Nick and continuing with Natalie at the front desk, everyone made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was great, and we especially appreciated the service and conversation with our waitress Velma.. Miguel did a fine job serving us on the second morning, but also doubled to get our car on the first morning. Overall, it is clear that this is a well run hotel with a staff that is justifiably appreciated. It is also in a great location in downtown Napa that is an short walk to truly great restaurants. We plan to stay here whenever we visit Napa Valley.

We haven't had the opportunity to stay in the "Large Loft Terrace Suite;" However, the regular rooms are very nice, so I'm sure the suite will be great!

Renting a car is the best option if you are staying overnight. Otherwise take a day trip using a touring company. Make sure to see the Village at the Meritage Resort.
