Beautiful property, perfect for a family trip. Very relaxing lots of amenities would go back again. We went for a wedding, the venue space was lovely, but the outdoor spaces were too cold in the evening, the banquet food was delivered cold. The indoor space was okay, would have been stunning with the garage doors open, but it was too cold in the evenings. Also be aware that porterage and daily housekeeping gratuities are included on the bill.

We stayed in a villa, the room was beautifully appointed, the outdoor shower was gorgeous and beautiful in the summer weather. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lights and shades were high tech and easily controlled. Bathroom very high end and nice. We enjoyed sitting on the patio next to the fire pit. There were hummingbirds all over the resort - we loved watching them. There were turkeys in the vineyard right behind our room, lovely wildlife.
The customer service at the ranch was second to none. All staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, outgoing. We were celebrating our anniversary and everybody was aware and provided congratulations and multiple complimentary items. The room concierge responded immediately and completed every request with personal touches added to everything. It really was a perfect trip and we will plan to return.

Stanly ranch has a lot of potential but still needs work. There is heavy construction going on and around the property grounds, and the staff seems new and inexperienced. This would be ok if I could tip them accordingly. However, they include an automatic service charge on all their bills and ask for additional Tip on the bottom of the check hoping to trick you into tipping more(?!).
Website describes rooms as overlooking “vineyards and orchards”. This is not necessarily the case. We asked to change rooms because our first room was facing a maintenance shed where the housekeeping and the maintenance staff kept coming in and out of, banging doors and talking loudly to each other (which is totally understandable, they were working). We ended up switching rooms and the 2nd room had an excellent view. Which begs a question… why didn’t they put us into the better view room to begin with if it was available ? What is the hotel losing by putting us up into a better view room of the same type and price? I am honestly curious. They must be aware that not all views and rooms even of the same type and price are the same.
I would return again if there was a guarantee that my $1000/night room doesn’t face a shed.

This review is for my parents, who stayed at Stanly Ranch for a wedding recently. I am helping them write this review.
The service at Stanly has been fine up until they received their final bill via email. They were charged a $30 porterage fee and a daily $10 housekeeping gratuity ($10 per day for 2 days). This would have been fine had they used the service, but my parents lugged their own luggage around the resort, and they turned on the "Do Not Disturb" sign. We called Stanly Ranch twice to which they said they will check in on (I spoke with Lucy twice on the phone), but have yet to get a response back. We also emailed, which they did not respond back to. They mentioned that this was part of a wedding block and they had to double check to remove it. But, I have personally stayed at Stanly Ranch twice and have never seen this on my final invoice.
The amount to be refunded is minute, however it's more of the principle of returning a guests call, and or email back with an update. You are supposed to be a luxury resort, yet the customer service is terribly lacking when an issue arises.
There are PLENTY of luxury hotels in Napa and Sonoma, but based on this, my parents and I will NEVER stay at Stanly Ranch again. I'm happy to go to Carneros across the street, or to Montage or Four Seasons. Hotels are popping up all over wine country so I don't see the need to ever set foot back at Stanly based on their service.

This charge is standard for large room blocks, which their room was a part of, you most likely would not have experienced this fee while independently staying at Stanly Ranch in the past. This review is to express our profound disappointment with our recent stay at Stanly Ranch. Despite its 5-star reputation, our experience was marred by a series of unacceptable failures.
We booked under a "buy two nights, get one free" offer, only to be told that the hotel was overbooked and could not honor the free night. This bait-and-switch tactic left us feeling deceived and frustrated.
To compound matters, the pool, a key factor in our booking decision, was closed for a private event throughout our entire stay. This closure was never communicated to us despite multiple pre-arrival messages from the hotel.
Our room itself was plagued with issues: malfunctioning keys requiring repeated trips to the front desk, and most egregiously, the entry door detaching from its hinges, leaving our room unsecured and causing us to miss a dinner reservation while waiting for repairs.
Access to the gym and spa was also blocked due to the private event, again without prior notice. While staff attempted to assist, their efforts couldn't compensate for these major disruptions.
We paid a premium price for a birthday getaway, only to be denied the amenities that attracted us to Stanly Ranch. Constant noise from dripping water outside our window further hindered our enjoyment and sleep.
It's clear that these issues were not isolated incidents, as we encountered other guests experiencing similar frustrations.
While we appreciate the efforts of individual staff members, the management's failure to communicate these significant disruptions and provide the promised 5-star experience is unacceptable. Advertising amenities that are inaccessible to paying guests is misleading and deceptive.
We request a full refund for our stay to compensate for the significant shortcomings and disappointments we encountered.

The AC didn’t work in our room. The outdoor showers on each room were located on the front of the rooms, along the busy walkways, with slats allowing you to see in. My massage therapist was bad, the steam room was out of order, the outdoor cushions on our porch were so badly mildewed we had to put towels down to sit. The layout of the rooms and map are so bad that you often get lost. The espresso machine was broken at the cafe and apparently made it so they could not many any hot drinks.
The staff for the most part was lovely and it was a beautiful property though our room looked at new housing being constructed. Like Soleil, the auberge property we stayed in last year, these are so overpriced.

Im extremely disappointed, I stayed 2 weeks ago during the off peak season, decided to do a quick 3 day stay so I can relax and booked thru Amex fine hotels were I’m able to upgrade to a largest room on availability, this particular stay I was upgraded to the villa. Once I arrived the first desk rep tried to claim that there wasn’t any upgrades available, but the hotel was barely at 20 % occupancy. So after I called him out on his lie the manager stepped in and took care of the upgrade and stated he was new. The hotel was beautiful and quite and thought it would be nice to bring a group of friends back to celebrate my birthday and the hotel literally tried to charge me 3x the rate I literally just paid 2 weeks prior for the same exact accommodations. The rate on Amex was almost the same, so I asked if I book the exact accommodations again thru Amex could they honor the upgrade , they stated No, My travel party was going to book an additional group of rooms once I confirmed my reservation, So this is extremely frustrating especially as a returning guest. I know the rates can change quickly especially during peak season, however we are in the middle of Feb and I’m sure the hotel wouldn’t be fully booked on a Wednesday mid week in winter. I’m trying to see this in a different perspective, but this feels a bit intentional.

We booked our two night stay at Stanly Ranch because it was the site of a family member's destination wedding. This hotel feels tucked away from everything around it, yet is it a short 15 drive to downtown Napa. Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. Stanly Ranch is a gorgous setting with extremely well-appointed, very private "bungalows"; ours had a darling outdoor patio that we used for our breakfast and happy hour relaxation. We could walk everywhere on property or choose to request a cart (chauffered by "ranch hands") for transportion. There were two pools on property and several experiences (one of which was a falconer with raptors) which we would have enjoyed had our time not been completely booked with family events. The grounds were beautiful with wildflowers, grapevines, and lavendar bushes. Our meals were delicious and the service impeccable. If you are looking for an incredible location for a romantic getaway, a destination wedding, or a memorable vacation the Stanly Ranch will not disappoint.
