The Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa is celebrated for its friendly service and pleasant ambiance, with staff frequently going the extra mile to delight guests. While some visitors feel the additional fees undermine the hotel's value, the majority are impressed by the spacious, clean rooms and the variety of amenities, which include fire pits, electric bikes, and complimentary wine tastings.
Although a few guests note room maintenance and dated decor, the hotel's prime location for exploring Napa Valley is a consistent highlight.

I booked this hotel part of a group and really loved the location. There are plenty of stores and restaurants that are walkable and there are many vineyards close by.
I happened to call the hotel prior to my arrival to ensure that I received a room with two queen beds. I spoke o the manager, who just so happened to answer the phone named Blossom. She was truly a delight. She made sure that the room I was staying in had the set up I requested and once I arrived I asked for her and she actually came from her office and greeted me with a huge hug. She is certainly the gem of this location.
The bar happy hour was a treat. It is very affordable and filling. We actually had the happy hour food as dinner the first evening we arrived. Unfortunately it’s only available Monday through Friday so be sure to pop in for the happy hour if you stay during the week.
The reason whey I’m giving the hotel four stars is because we spent a day relaxing at the pool and let me say the pool gets pretty packed. We placed several orders for food and drinks and because there’s only one bar at the pool the bar tender was also the pool waiter. This turned into a mess upon check out because my final bill had other guests orders on the bill. I went to the front desk to advise them that there was an error on my bill and the young lady was sort of rude stating that all of the bill is my pool order. I had to actually have her print my bill, go line by line and pull the receipts from the pool in order to prove that I did not sign for all of that food and drinks. Once she saw that a lot of bills with my room number had various signatures she was very quick to apologize and make the corrections. I felt as if she should have heard me out prior to jumping to conclusions as if I was trying to get over.
Other than the check out experience the hotel was great and there are so many vineyards that give free tastings in the lobby that you immediately know you have arrived in Napa.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your recent stay with us. We're thrilled to hear that you loved our location and enjoyed the convenience of nearby stores and vineyards. It's also wonderful to know that Blossom made such a positive impact on your stay. She truly is a gem, and I will be sure to pass along your kind words to her. I’m glad you had a pleasant experience during our happy hour and found it to be a treat. However, I’m sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your time at the pool and with the billing process upon checkout. It’s disappointing to know that the service fell short in this area, and I sincerely apologize for the confusion and the way the situation was handled. Your experience is not reflective of the standard we strive to maintain. I appreciate your understanding and patience as the billing errors were corrected. I will be addressing this matter with our team to ensure that we improve our service and avoid similar issues in the future. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with an even better experience. If your travels bring you back to Napa, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

Napa Valley Marriott is within short driving distance of downtown Napa. As a titanium member, I was treated very well! My upgraded room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The gym was well equipped and even had 2 pelotons along with great weight machines. I indulged in a massage while I was there, that was amazing!! The $30 fee is basically refunded when you buy something from there restaurant, and the wine social and M room are great perks!! You should definitely stay here!

The whole experience was bad from the time we arrived to the time we departed. I suspect that arrogance is predominant character of that hotel culture. My wife, a 7 weeks old baby and myself were looking to spend 4 nights there but we cancelled after checking in, at the suggestion of the hotel manager!!! she had the guts to say if we do not like it here she is happy to cancel the rest of our stay at no charge!!! no bell boy serice to help us with our luggage the room smelled mildew after being given a room on the first floor and seeing that there are rooms with a garden on the ground floor and when asking if there is any better room location the manager said that we paid for the most expensive category and this is what she gave us; she actually said it does not get any better. well upon checking in the opening there were some vacancies on the lower level with a much bigger patio and nice access to the garden. our room 1072 was so noisy that we thought the room 1073 had a party in ours. the all inclusive package (we paid over $ 430 for booking much earlier) was inclusive of breakfast and to our surprise breakfast meant a very specific a la carte choice that we did not like. i can go on with more but we checked out first think in the morning and checked in next door at the Senza hotel which for a nearly similar price have us 10 times the experience. shame on marriott for allowing such a property to operate under their banner!!!

Mark, thank you for takin the time to write. My team communicated your concerns as they are not typical of what we deal with. I apologize for the bell staff not being available as well as the mildew smell you experienced. I checked your room and although it is very possible you experienced the odor, it has been corrected and I was unable to reproduce the smell. I took a look at your experience and see that you had a reservation for a standard King. My team upgraded you to a garden view and then again, further to a patio room which is our premier product. As we did the best we could do and you were not satisfied, my supervisor said she would let you check out without penalty. She was not inviting you to leave, but simply felt that we were unable to meet your expectations and wanted you to know we would we do whatever you wished as a valued guest. I apologize that your interpretation was different and our efforts to upgrade you fell short. We wish you the best in your future travels and hope we get another chance to see you.

We stayed here for several nights while visiting Napa vineyards. Prices at this place are rather high and it’s somewhat dated, but comfortable. The property has a nice looking pool, which I briefly used once on this stay. They have an “M Club” here for those with elite status, which we enjoyed breakfast in every morning. The staff in the M Club was attentive and the food was some of the best I’ve had at any Marriott concierge club. It’s also stocked with free water and sodas, as well as a wine dispenser to purchase wine by the ounce.
Housekeeping did a nice job keeping our room refreshed daily, we always came back to a nicely made-up room and the bathroom was cleaned too. Water pressure in our bathroom was “just OK’ and the shower drained perfectly. The TV in the room worked great, but the channel selection wasn’t very robust.
The common areas are nice, with fire pits, outdoor and indoor seating and a couple restaurants on the property. There’s definitely plenty for ADULTS to do… please don’t bring kids, it doesn’t seem very kid-friendly, so I imagine they’d be bored. The pool is a great congregation place for adults and nice size for laps, but doesn’t have kid-friendly “stuff” there. There is a small play area outdoors, with some odd versions of cornhole.
Overall, the stay was comfy and we felt safe here. We’d stay here again, if the prices were lower than this time, these prices were way too high.

je1058, I am happy to see you enjoyed your time here and certainly understand your value for price concerns. The blunt reality is that we are priced like the rest of the market and unfortunately this area is up to it's highest level ever due to the cost of living in the area. The staff we hire have to make significantly more to live in the area, and also prices of groceries and things has caused prices to surge. Lastly, the demand for hotel rooms is high caused up by pent up demand for people who have not traveled for some time due to the pandemic. I imagine that piece is going to slow down and prices will follow the demand, but the inflation is the real issue here. I hope that helps you understand and again, thank you for the kind words about our hotel and staff.

We didn’t know what to expect after reading all the reviews but we were overall happy with our stay. We got upgraded to a room on the first level that had a sitting area and fire pit near the pool area. We love the daily wine hour and the hotel had so many nice areas to hang out at. The M Club was one of the nicer ones we have seen and they offered a different variety of things. We loved that parking was included and that there were plenty of spaces and never had any issues even though we were there during a busy time. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had an opportunity to spend two nights at the Marriott with our teenage daughters, and it was a lovely stay. Live music one night out on the patio, a variety of beautiful hammocks among the Sequoias for relaxation, and the pool in the evening was especially beautiful. There is an on-site restaurant that serves excellent food (breakfast burrito was amazing) and were VERY accommodating of my daughter’s severe dairy allergy. My husband and I enjoyed drinks at the bar one evening, which was hopping and fun. Complimentary wine was served as were s’mores in the evening of for guests. You can rent bikes on site and ride all over Napa which we enjoyed immensely. The staff! Staff were friendly, seemed to genuinely enjoy interacting with their guests and team work was apparent. We spent 2 weeks traveling through Northern California and this was by far our favorite hotel experience. The management of this Marriott location has done an incredible job making this a memorable experience for their guests. We highly recommend making this Marriott part of your traveling experience!

I had a wonderful weekend and experience at the Napa Marriot; the property is beautiful, the staff is friendly and Shedrick is an all around outstanding Jack of all trades host! He really made the visit special! I appreciated the happy hour tastings at the hotel as well. My only complaint was the housekeeping; each morning between 8 and 9 am, they came knocking to service the room. It's completely intrusive and rude! While housekeeping is appreciated, they should be more considerate of timing.

Shedrick, the greeter at the door was extremely pleasant, entertaining and such a great way to start our visit! That led to a welcoming staff both at check in, the bar and the dining. This hotel is a great location for starting a day of vineyard tours or jumping down to the shops and eateries in downtown Napa! Kudos - it was a great stay!

We booked a last minute stay at the Napa Valley Marriott over the long weekend, and had a very pleasant experience. The location was super convenient. We were traveling with our family on multiple different reservations, and the check in staff (Peter) was very helpful with making sure we were able to get rooms near each other. The patio room was very comfortable, and it was so nice to have a fire pit on the patio for the cold morning and evening. Our son really enjoyed the s’mores in the evening. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, and service was great. Veronica was nice at accommodating our large party. Would definitely stay here again in the future!
