We stayed here for two consecutive nights for our anniversary. The property is very comfortable and conveniently located within walking distance of the historic district. The breakfast was delicious and the service great! We hope to come back here in the future!

We enjoyed two comfortable nights and two delicious breakfasts at this Inn. Ruth even shares her recipes! We loved the historic home, its furnishings, and the beautiful grounds by the creek. We are not crazy about flavored coffee, and would have preferred a different option, but that is a minor criticism compared to all the amenities and charm this place...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Ruth (owner) prepared a very nice breakfast for the guests every morning. It wasn't the "usual" scrambled eggs and fruit that you get other places... it was what you'd expect from a 5-star B&B. At one time, Ruth had her own restaurant in Nevada City, and her cooking skills were evident in what she served...

We just spent two pleasant nights here. First time visitors. Occupancy was full both days, and we very much enjoyed the company of the other guests. This handsome and historic home is well appointed, with comfortable, quiet rooms. It's an old building, so expect some quirky features (like the original front door lock and key, and some bedroom windows that...

Beautiful victorian house, clean and comfortable. Our hostess Ruth was not overly friendly she hardly spoke to us at breakfast, the coffee we served ourself from the kitchen we only one choice hazelnut flavor no regular coffee. Our room had a balcony over looking the creek which was very nice, also we could walk to restraunts.

I do consider myself to be pretty friendly so I am not sure what may have been going on. Often if a couple is here alone I do give them their space. Regarding our coffee, it is brewed for us by a coffee roaster in Grass Valley, you are right it is not regular coffee. It is a dark french...

My wife and I spent three nights at the Deer creek Inn. Ruth, the manager is low key, efficient and a terrific cook!. The rooms are terrific and the locale relative to Nevada City attractions can't be beat!

This was our second visit to the Deer Creek Inn. Just backing up to the creek and walking to town make this an easy place to stay while visiting Nevada City. The rooms are quiet and Ruth makes the best breakfast! I couldn't recommend this place more !

My wife and I had a grand time here for our second anniversary. The hostess, Ruth, is warm and kind. She had no trouble furnishing us with hypoallergenic bedding and towels, preparing vegetarian breakfasts, and allowing us to check in later than the 3pm-6pm window when traffic prevented a more timely arrival. The house and surrounding grounds are grand to...

We made last minute plans to visit Nevada City this past week and found the Deer Creek Inn had a vacancy in its Gigi Room. We spent four nights there and really enjoyed our visit. The room was very clean and private, as promised. It also had its own private entrance from the outside and looks down on Deer Creek....

We stayed for 3 days in May, and as always, it was amazing! We stayed with our best friends for a special birthday weekend, and the 4 of us had a blast. The breakfasts were incredible - 4-5 courses of 5 star cuisine. Not just bacon and eggs like you would see at most B&B's. We have stayed in all...
