While the staff was wonderful and friendly and the energy was great, the new owners must update the rooms, clean them and freshen them up. Can be an amazing place with more updating as it must have been when first opened.

We stayed at Harmony Ridge Lodge recently for a family wedding weekend. Our high expectations were met and exceeded! Very clean, unique and comfortable accommodations. Gorgeous setting, Great staff. Terrific breakfasts. The coordination between the venue and all the hired vendors was perfect. What a beautiful place to celebration a momentous occasion. Everything went off without a hitch.

This is a lovely lodge on Highway 49. There are beautiful trees and well-tended plantings all around. The beds are comfortable and our spacious room (#3) had a day bed in addition to a king-sized bed and a deck. We would have liked more of the stunning silence that fell every so often, but the highway traffic is pretty constant....

This is our second visit so we obviously love this place. I would give it 5 stars but the bed was quite uncomfortable. We do not remember it being that bad on our first visit. It could also use a better shower head. Otherwise, this is a beautiful place for getting away from it all and just relaxing. We chose...

We stayed two nights mid-week and enjoyed our time here. We loved: special price, the pet friendliness of this lodge, the bed linens were nice, the simple breakfast that was included, the large room size, soaking tub, very pleasant staff, the forested location and the trails, the well maintained gardens, the local market across the street. We did not care...

Harmony Ridge Lodge is not to be missed. Loving care has gone into every detail from the beautiful interior design of the rooms (each of the eight is different) to the gorgeous park-like landscape and gardens. And that is just the beginning! We arrived at the lodge several hours prior to the official check-in time. Our room was ready and...

It has been 10 days since my wife Linda and I spent the weekend in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area and at this lodge celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary and the magic still lingers. Part of the magic is the quaint charm of the area but a significant portion is the beauty of HRL and the care and attention we...

This is the perfect Bed & Breakfast for those of us who are annoyed by drafty walls, creaky floors (and mattresses!), stuck windows, unreliable plumbing, scarce electricity, etc., etc. Harmony Ridge Lodge has tons of personality and character - but (drum roll) . . . it's all ultra modern and ultra comfortable. MY kind of getaway in the woods! My...

My Mom and I had been dreaming of doing the Nevada City Christmas for years, and finally pulled the trigger this past Christmas. This place had great reviews, and seemed reasonably close to downtown. The first RED flag was the day before our visit. I had received an email asking me to sign some paper work. I thought it was...

It is truly tragic that such a beautiful venue can have such a horribly inept, rude and unprofessional management and staff. My family of 20 people reserved and paid for 6 rooms for 3 days so that we could gather in honor of my father whose funeral service we were attending. Since we no longer have a family home in...

Hi Nancy, We are sorry that our venue did not meet you personal expectations. We did our best to fit your family into our facility during a busy time between Christmas and New Years, when we have many bookings. At our venue we book 20-30 groups each year including families, weddings, yoga groups, and quilters. 99 percent of the time...
