Joined our family who live here for a sunset bonfire on the beach. We made reservations and they set everything up wonderfully. Chairs, fire pits and server included. They provided all ingredients for smores and brought beverages upon arrival. What an amazing night with a great sunset and family. Highly recommend you check this out !

We Love Crystal Cove and the Historic Beach Cottages This was our third overnight stay and one of Many visits to the beach. Paradise Lodge is actually on the bluff, overlooking the beach. It is a dorm style cabin with 3 bedrooms. We stayed in "C" which does not have an ocean view, but does have it's own bathroom. Just... More

We stayed at the cute little yellow cottage #40 November 11-13 2016. The weather was great and the views from the beach front porch were amazing. It is a tiny studio cottage with a twin bed and a full bed. The bathroom is huge and the little kitchen provides all you need. It has a toaster, microwave, and small fridge.... More

I have spent the last 25 years in Southern California. I used to do a triathlon at Crystal Cove many years back. A few years ago Crystal Cove became a state park. It was the best thing that the state of California has ever done in my humble opinion. We normally camp at Crystal Cove but we were lucky enough... More

Have not yet stayed at Crystal Cove, learned of the properties until August of 2016, able to reserve cottage 19A in March of 2017 for 3 nights. My experience is to reserve these quaint one of a kind cottages, is to be diligent. I was able to secure a 3 night stay on September 13, 2016. So, in my opinion,... More

My friends and I spent the day at Crystal Cove beach. What a glorious day. The water was cool.....and very refreshing after baking in the sun. A great day for boogie boarding and swimming in the ocean. There is a bar and restaurant near the sand. There is a Ruby's diner up the steps. Lots of memorabilia...like the cottage from... More

I love coming to Crystal Cove for getaways with my husband. Sometimes we even let the family come along! This was the first time we had stayed in summer and it was surprising to see such a crowded beach. So many colorful umbrellas and families equipped to stay all day and take advantage of this beautiful place. In summer the... More

Great location right on the beach. You can watch your kids from the balcony. Six of us stayed. Only inconvenience was it had only one bathroom. Bring a camping stove to minor cooking. The prices at the Ruby's Shake Shack and the Beachcomber were very reasonable and the food was great. Get the special Bloody Mary at the Beachcomber.

Stayed in cottage 40 which is small unit with two beds (single and double). Location probably the closest to the ocean and close to Beachcombers (restaurant/bar about 100 feet away). The restaurant noise didn't disturb us despite this being one of the most busy stretches of beach. For those of us who don't own beachfront homes, this is a great... More

We were lucky enough to book our second stay at the Shell Shack with a view overlooking the beach. Days pass calmly here from sunrise to sunset, with the sound of the pounding surf always keeping time. The Shell Shack offers the catbird seat, with the peaceful view of daybreak over the ocean and later lots of people-watching as crowds... More
