The other bad reviews in this site already tell most of the problems. What I can add is the following. We were not accommodated in a room like the ones in the web site but in a very small room that was part of a parking hut. They call it "granny's house". It is really a dirty and uncomfortable hole,...

My husband and I together with relatives enjoyed our one night stay at The Pines Rose Inn. Anita was very warm and tried her best to make our stay an enjoyable one. The accommodation was personalized. The highlight of our stay was our delicious breakfast and the ambience at the patio where we had background music with a great view...

First, let me say Innkeeper Anita couldn't be more charming, but that said, our stay here was a real disappointment. The room we booked looked NOTHING like the photo on the website. I felt as if the room had been stocked with thrift store cast-offs. The kitchen set-up was useless..dirty microwave, coffee maker but no coffee,a refrigerator which was cool,...

This was, by far, one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had booked the room (#5) prior to reading the reviews - then after reading them, I was going to cancel, but decided that "it couldn't be that bad" - Well, it is! Room was very musty-smelling and dirty... trash from previous occupant was still there, sheets...

When booking our room, we were told we were getting the "romantic" Hidden Rose (#2) with a private jacuzzi. Well, it basically is in the basement of the house, I needed to watch my head in some areas of the room. The private jacuzzi was in the middle of the bedroom. Oh and if you need to use the toilet...

Never again will we ignore negative reviews, everything written is true. We complained when we saw our room, #5, we were so disappointed after booking it based on the website information and photos. The place looks like a builders yard. The rooms were dirty, we had to clean the toilet before using it! The bed covers looked disgustingly filthy and...

This could be a beautiful place but it's very neglected with a lot of junk and discarded furniture piled around the buildings outside. Our room at first glance looked great -- lots of beautiful antiques and quilts -- but a horrible smell was coming from the kitchen which was later discovered to be left behind trash in a cupboard. The...

The place it dirty, run down and smells musty. It's too bad, becasue the property is in a beautiful location with excellent views, but the deck furniture had tears in the fabric and were moldy, everything in the room was beyond old and rundown, and the room was so overpowered by a musty smell that I couldnt bring myself to...

I have stayed at this property three times now. It certainly needs a lot of work, but for some reason I still find it charming. The innkeeper Anita and her son Greg are very friendly and the breakfast always top notch. The property itself just needs a good overall cleaning. For example, during our last stay we noticed none of...
