This was a lodging for 2 nights and we drove to Yosemite for the day. It was quiet, peaceful and although the room was small, it was nice. Mattress and bedding comfy, relatively new bathroom-small and no place to put items but that's okay-there is a small desk just outside the bathroom door. Overall nicely decorated. It was a small...

We stayed here for 5 days while we were visiting Yosemite National Park. We arrived late, but there was still someone there available for us to check in. We enjoyed our room, it was small but it had a queen bed and a day bed and we liked the french doors that opened up to the porch. We read online...

Attractive historic hotel in attractive wooded surroundings. +ve: good shower, comfortable bed, French doors onto communal veranda with nice views (& hummingbirds!), cosy communal lounge, 24 hr good coffee in lobby and fair selection of tasty breakfast items. -ve: rooms are quite small with no hanging space and pretty poor sound insulation. The pool was closed but it was still...

Got off to a bad start when the check-in woman was looking at Facebook on her phone right in front of us then answered a personal video call right in the middle of our interaction. However, the room was very nice and this is a beautiful location! We were hoping to see some ghosts, but no luck this time!

I am surprised by all of the favorable reviews this place has received, as I had a different experience. I stayed with my niece for one night and while I was immediately charmed by the decor and location, the paper thin walls were a bit hard to ignore. I could hear every single footstep made around my room on either...

I was so sad we had to leave. The place is beautiful and our beds were dreamy comfy. The sound of frogs and crickets lulled us to sleep. We stayed in the double queen suite and it had a fire place and a giant size bathroom which had a bath tub and a shower. For a couple of college kids...

What an awesome place. Great location, easy access to Yosemite. Very well-appointed and comfortable room, many porches and seating areas, roaring fireplace... couldn't ask for anything more for a winter stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, and always determined to be as helpful as they could possibly be. High recommend!

Really enjoyed staying here. Easy drive to both Yosemite and Bass Lake. Only two miles to downtown Oakhurst and restaurants; located right off the main artery in a calm rural setting (unlike the other area hotels which are right on the busy highway). Easy to find, helpful staff, and overall charming accomodations (could hear some footstep noises from room above...

It's an awesome old wooden house with 3 chimneys, one is always burning. They have a piano in the living room and a great restaurant. The staff was always very friendly and the room was beautiful and clean. The history of the house is very interesting, ask the staff about it ;)
