I found this campground when searching for hidden gems campsites of California, it is nestled off the highway to ojai and right across from a visitor's center where a didgeridoo playing park ranger resides, even though a road runs right above the campground it wasn't very noticeable and we were located directly below it. Most of the site's are large...

We booked 2 nights in this campground but we only could stay one because of the serious problem with mosquitoes and little flies. We couldn't even breath withouth swallowing flies. Was terribly annoying. Also, due to draught there are rattlesnakes and other creatures like tarantulas and racoons which are quite common, we saw a lot of the 2 last ones,...

Only gave it 4/5 because it wasn't something AMAZING, but nothing about it was bad! I stayed in site #56, which was up on a hill, kind of away from our neighbors. I read reviews about campsites being sunny and too close to neighbors, so I chose this spot based on the map. it was perfect! we had plenty of...

Our campsite was shady and a good size for us (2 adults, 2 kids.) There were a few tiny campsites, and some right next to the bathrooms, with no privacy at all, so choose your site carefully. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We bought our firewood from them at $6.50/bundle. Our neighbors were quiet and friendly. Our kids' favorite...

We booked this place based on wanting to boondock in our new trailer. There was no cell service at our site and there is no wifi available from the park. The campground is ideal in a lot of ways, great area. When we arrived we were informed of the new hosts, whom we really like. The were very nice, helpful...

I had read the reviews and they were not very good but we were up that way so decided to give it a shot. We drove in the drive and were met by the new hosts Darla and Lenny. They were very friendly and very helpful. The first thing they wanted to make sure we had water because there is...

We went camping for two nights with two other families and our boys had fun running around in the gorge (which had very little water in it) with their kids. It was super loud the first night and although I was exhausted and slept through it our friends were both up until 3am. The second night the sheriffs actually had...

What once was my favorite camp grounds have been destroyed by horrible hosts. Very simply for there to be so many sites available on the 4th of July weekend people must have known what I did not. Bathroom's were so dirty I have never seem this way before not even on a Sunday morning. Locks are broken and good luck...

Most sites have shade but some are better than others. Creek runs through camp ground - essential if you go in the summer - gets very hot. Bring water shoes to walk/ hike in creek. Best bets are to find water holes to swim in. Site was nice, fire pit, BBQ, table. Stayed 3 nights, one night was very loud...

We had a great time dispite the huge spiders (tarantulas) running around. The camp host knew nothing about, said he never saw them and told us how he hated being there. The place was unkept bathrooms had no paper by the end of the week campsite brush was over grown minus this kids had a great time down by the...
