My wife and I had drinks and a snack at this place while visiting from Pennsylvania. A very nice place to be to warm up from the winter weather. There is much to do in this village. Good weather or bad, this is a place to go.

We really enjoyed our time at The Village. The one bedroom was roomy enough for four people as the pull out couch was a queen size bed. We had to ask for housekeeping to take out the trash each day even though it was stated they would come in everyday to change towels, take out trash and make the bed. That did not happen. We saved some money in food, thanks to the kitchen in the room as kids can eat a lot and it adds up quick. Wish there were more planned activities but maybe we just came during an off peak season. Trams and access to high camp were cut off by 4pm each day. We appreciated the free parking under the building rather than leaving the car out each day or hunting for a spot during the weekends. Overall it was a great place to stay, lots to do and walk around the resort without having to drive each day.

We really enjoyed having you stay with us! It looks as though you stayed with us around the beginning of February, a very busy time for us, please accept our apologies for the issues you experienced with housekeeping. You are correct our upper mountain operations do close around 4 every day. We look hope to see you again soon.

This was a great base for our time in Lake Tahoe area. The village is nice (though a lot is currently closed). The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, though our room was not as good as we were expecting.
We booked the 1 bedroom with den. It is a big space, which is nice, however, I feel ours was lacking. We were on the second floor and our balcony was very boxed in (presumably for privacy) but it wasn't pleasant to sit out on which was a shame! Plus, it looked like the dumpsters were below us and there was a smell that could only have come from them. A higher floor would have been nicer.
The inside was a little dated and needed some repairs. The balcony door did not lock at all, the wooden blinds were broken in parts and the kitchen had old appliances. This was a disappointment because the few pictures we found for this room type were far nicer with newer appliances so we were expecting better.
It was also tricky getting new towels due to the housekeeping modifications (due to covid). We were told to exchange in person (housekeeping would bring to our door). We waited for ages and after over an hour, gave up and went about our day. It was tough getting toiletries and getting rid of trash etc also.
If it is possible to book a more renovated, higher floor unit, I would perhaps return, but I wouldn't come back and stay in what we had.

Visited here for a work conference. You cant beat the location and the views. The building is very nice and cozy. I stayed in a standard king room which came with a very comfortable couch.

I was impressed by the fact that the room had a ceiling fan, heated stone floors in the bathroom, a box fan in the closet (helpful for those of us who like white noise when sleeping), a full size coffee maker (although the coffee that came with it wasn't enough to brew a whole pot, it looked more like tea), real ceramic coffee mugs, glasses for cold beverages, and a couple of ceramic plates, bowels, silverware, small refrigerator, and a microwave.

What could use some improvements where the tv (it was decent sized flat panel but is getting to be on the older side, although it was easy to plug in my laptop via hdmi so that was a plus). Some of the furniture was a little rough around the edges and had some water damage (I think this is probably due to the face that it sees a lot of snow during the ski season). It would also be great if there was some sort of room service available, or even delivery from the many different restaurants at the village, they all seem to offer to go ordering and even online ordering which is fantastic but it would be even better if they offered delivery to your room.

If the internet speeds are important to you then you will find them to be fantastic 130+mps down and 85+mps up consistently throughout my stay.

We made a last minute reservation here for a quick overnight getaway at the very start of Memorial Day. The people that we spoke to on the phone were super friendly and accommodating, to say the least since I bothered them often. Our plan was to go early on Friday, beat the crowds in the Tahoe region and then get outta dodge on Saturday afternoon.
The plan played out perfectly except we would have loved to stay at the Village for a few additional nights. The staff at the front desk was great. We had requested an early check in and that was granted. Earlier than we thought. Perfect.
The suite was more than we expected. We wound up in a one bedroom unit that faced the mountain on the 4th floor. The balcony opened up over the common area that included Fireside Pizza and more. Better yet, the view included that big, beautiful mountain and was maybe, maybe 200 steps to reach the gondola.
The unit was very clean. There can always be improvements in this area. I can be pretty picky. Over all, this was a well kept unit. It included a full size fridge, great to keep the wine chilled. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom included a tub/shower combo that we found odd but it all worked.
Underground parking is a plus and the paths painted on the ground were easy enough to follow although a paint job should be in their future.
All in all, we found this place to check all the boxes when we travel. Even for a day. Restaurants were a bit scarce and will be for a few more weeks and that was ok. We didn't starve :)
Can't wait to go back again. It's an incredible area. A great complex and you see the same beauty without the craziness of the south shore.

This is a nice place to stay. Be warned though, when it’s unseasonably warm in Tahoe, you will not be comfy with the temp in your room. They only have portable A/C units and they cannot cool adequately. With windows open at night, it gets comfy around midnight. Gabe (manager) was wonderful & let us try a different condo for our 2nd night. It was better but still warm for our taste. The view from the balcony was great (4th floor of building 4). The Village has good dining options, delish pizza! The bike trail to Tahoe City was excellent. If you don’t have your own bikes, there’s a place to rent them right before you enter the Village on your right. It’s about a 16 mile round trip & you can get lunch in Tahoe City. Due to Covid, the pool & hot tubs on site are closed. Within the Village, people did a great job with social distancing and mask usage. All dining options were spaced apart and outdoors so it felt safe! There’s also a little grocery store and liquor store on site. I will return to this location but would probably delay until the fall next time.

We stayed here for the first time to get away from our house while following COVID-19 quarantine protocols. We figured the kitchens would make this easy, which still allowing the family to geta change a scenery in an area with a lot more hiking and outdoors fun than staying at home.

Reserved a two-bedroom suite through the hotel – but you can also get similar rooms via other websites directly from private owners. The prices seemed to be similar.

The room was great. Decent kitchen. Bunk beds in the kids room. Two decent sized bathrooms. Great little balcony that was shaded more of the afternoon.

The rooms come with underground parking that lets you park really close to an elevator and have quick and easy access to your room wherever you are in the Village. We didn’t use it, but they also a locked bike storage area in the garage that you can access with your key. We will be bringing the bikes next time for sure. This is great perk.

The room was clean and we definitely felt safe there despite the ongoing pandemic. The only two hiccups were the lack of any bath mats in the restrooms (but they brought us some when we called and asked for them) and the phone in the main bedroom had a flashing red light indicating a message, but there was no message, meaning the light would not turn off. I had to hide it in the nightstand drawer to sleep. Strange, but not a big deal.

We will absolutely go again. So convenient to be able to walk to everything, order takeout and take it back to the room and enjoy a nice large room.

We did not get the room that we booked for. I booked a queen studio with the balcony as advertised so we can look out the window and appreciate the view. I asked the girl who checked us in and she said "there is no balcony you picked the cheapest room". I got really embarrassed so I did not insist. How rude! I know spending $700 for the room is not cheap at all. We also did not get a dining table as advertised but a kitchen counter instead. The room (Room101) was very dark and did not look like the picture. Room accommodation and customer service is very disappointing. MAKE SURE upon check in to bring a copy of all the details of the room and insist on what you have reserved for. That was very deceiving. The 2 girls on the front desk this weekend should not be there as the face and representative of the village. They were very cold and short like we were bothering them when we asked questions.

AppleSullivan, I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience while staying with us. Unfortunately, unless you book a room with a view (separate room category when booking), a view facing the mountain is not guaranteed. The studio room types don't fall in that category. I'll make sure to pass the feedback of the front-desk on to their manager. Hopefully we can be better next time.

Full transparency the room was booked in my sisters name, we shared a two bedroom suite: We arrived late on a Thursday evening and we’re offered our room. Upon entry we discovered an overly heated room. We went into the Master King suite and placed our items down. I heard my 2.5 year old rummage in the master suite. To our discovery the master suite had the floor space heater exposed. She was crying, but unharmed. It was midnight at this point so we had maintenance come first thing in morning to fix the heater and the electrical issues in the other bedroom. We brought this concern up to management along with the aspects of our non functioning items in the room and being over charged. Unfortunately management couldn’t help, and they didn’t seem to concerned with our complaints. Gabriel Perez made sure he let me know it’s Sunday and your daughter wasn’t hurt, and it’s just not on my list of Priorities. Gabriel stated “People are checking out today and we are busy”. Gabriel also let me know since the room was booked in my sisters name I was essentially wasting his time and he “I shouldn’t even be speaking to you” after giving me his handful of excuses. I am truly disappointed at the culture here at this resort and managements lack of not wanting to make things right. I will be reaching out to Christy Beck per Gabriel’s recommendations. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in the future.

TLDR: Dirty comforter with bloodstain (!!), dirty toilet, clogged bathtub, couldn't sleep for multiple nights due to bedroom fan and living room AC not working. Report the issues and didn't even get a 'I'm sorry' from the manager Gabriel. Instead I got his attitude and fake charges on my bill. We didn't even ask to speak with the manager, but Gabriel called twice and were extremely curt and rude.

I've been a long-time customer and had stayed over many times before. Employees like manager Gabriel is the reason I will never stay at the village again. Front desk person Tori and Silvia were helpful, but 'management' personnel like Gabriel and horrific housekeeping is unacceptable. For example, when housekeeping came to give the replacement comforter, it was literally dumped on the coffee table instead of leaving it in the bedroom.

When we checked out, Silvia agreed that we would be refunded 2 nights of the resort fee (out of 3 nights) for inconvenience like having no electricity in the middle of the night. And yet, our credit card was still charged the full 3 nights of resort fee. This is a shady business practice that requires me to waste more of my time to get my money back.

We have a pool and a hot tub at High Camp, which is a short scenic Tram ride from our base area to upper mountain area. Please see our website for tram and pool prices. Most of our lodging building have hot tubs as well, that all of our guests can access with their room key.

Is there any air conditioners in the one bedroom condo with den? Does it get hot?
Answer from Mikaela O
Roseville, California64 contributions39 helpful votes
In the summer it will get hot; each of the rooms will have a different situation when it comes to A/C. The front desk told us this as ours was like a swamp cooler and made too much noise to sleep to. You can open the windows, but you should try to contact the hotel to get the exact situation on A/C.
