We spent a week at Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley and had a fantastic vacation. The rooms were clean, location outstanding and the staff supportive caring and friendly. I don't think anyone could ask for a more ideal location right at the Village with shops , restaurants and ski lifts. Plan your next stay and you will realize what...

I booked a room at the end of fall and still got plenty of snow and winter fun! The room was extra comfy (single) and the location is central to all food, skiing and night life. A short drive to South and North Tahoe. I've also booked in spring and the quiet is amazing. I will keep going back!

Took 4 hours from Reno airport with snowmagedon. So worth it even for one night. Had view of ski area. Snowed all day. Snowboarded for free thanks to Squaws fly and ski free promo this winter. Nick at check in was very welcoming.

I never knew that this resort was at the mountain. Its not very noticeable but in a way thats good!! my room 104 had an all wood interior, which was very cozy. Great functional kitchen with utensils. The best and warmest fireplace with a rocking chair next to it. I think the sofa opened to a bed and there was...

Older property, but well kept up. They offer many "extras" such as welcome breakfast, snowshoe checkout, movie checkout, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can walk to restaurants/shopping from lodge.

Great location to Squaw Village and the ski hill so perfect for a short getaway. Despite being an older property the rooms are well equipped, nicely furnished with mountain decor and very comfortable.

Well maintained property. The staff was pleasant and exceedingly helpful. Of course the slope side location near the Red Dog lift was great. The ski lockers are a nice touch. While it did not snow on this trip, having garage parking is always welcome.

Great slopeside location, convenient to Olympic Village for dinner. Clean outdoor hot tubs with a nice view of the mountain after skiing. Rooms are maintained well, somewhat dated, well equipped for cooking breakfast. Intimate, private - couples and families, quiet at night. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Hello Folks from Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley. Were planning to stay in your property for the week Mar 29- Apr 5, 2015. Can you guys give me a heads up on what activities we can do during this time ( Im with my family). What weather do we expect for that week? What types of clothes do we need to prepare to feel comfortable as we go around the localities and cities that surround Lake Tahoe? Ill itemize my other queries here:

1. Were coming from Fairfield, CA and were renting a minivan, Do we need snow tires during this time of the year? We will be renting the van for 2 or more weeks, as we are venturing on a long road trip (with 2 or 3 1-2 day stopovers) from Olympic valley to San Diego.

2. This will be our first time to live in a ski resort. We dont ski and we dont have any bit of experience. What sort of activity can we do if it is totally unfamiliar to us?

3. What sort of seasonal activities/festivals/ events are expected in the surrounding areas of Olympic Valley, incl Incline Village, Tahoe City, Tahoe Vista, Stateline Nevada, Zephyr cove and south lake tahoe? Is it also worth to visit Reno?

4. Are there nearby convenient stores, supermarkets or even marketplace in Olympic valley? You may call us Mall rats, but my children's pastime is visiting and hanging out in malls. is there any nearby?

5. Are your outdoor pools heated? If not, do you have indoor pools that are heated? We dont have much body insulation (all of us are slender) and my kids are scared stiff of the idea of swimming in early spring cold weather.

Well, thats about all the things I need to ask. When something comes to mind, Ill come back. Thanks Guys in advance for your response, In the meantime, pls allow me to greet our future hosts a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous and Fulfilling New Year!
