Careful, from their website you would almost think this is a ritzy, yet somewhat rustic, resort. It is an old YWCA camp! Buildings are beautiful, but old. It, literally, is more like staying in a camp. Rooms are very basic, usually full-(versus queen)-sized beds, desk,...More

This historic Arts and Crafts facility has up-to-date facilities, additional conference areas and rooms overlooking the dunes and the Pacific Ocean. The sound of the ocean, blended with the local birds and animals, makes each day special. Rent bicycles, sit by the roaring fire in...More

For nearly $300/night this place is overpriced, even though you get breakfast, lunch and dinner included. My room was tiny - it had just a single bed that took up up most of the room. The legs of the bed (or the floor) were uneven...More

Asilomar is not for everyone. It's quiet, there is only one restaurant within walking distance, and has no televisions or phones in the room. However, this is my favorite place to stay in the Monterey area. This time we stayed in a newer room with...More

I don't have the answer to this, but I don't know why you would want to eat at Asilomar if you're not staying there. It's part of the experience, but the food isn't that great and you have to sit at community tables.
