First... Lyle at the front desk was terrible, uncooperative, not customer oriented, or friendly and was "totally put out" to having to help or ask for assistance on anything from the room not being correct to additional pillows, and providing wrong room # with keys. Second, the facility is being remodeled, what they have done is good, but needs improvement...

Stayed here for Valentines weekend so the price paid was 3-5x the normal rate which definitely impacts my opinion which might have been slightly higher if I paid a lower price. But with that caveat, there's no denying that one side of the hotel looks upon a graveyard (come on hotel, build a fence at least!) The breakfast is terrible,...

We had a nice stay, the room was comfortable and clean. The property was pretty and a short walk to the golf course, lighthouse and beach. There were a few issues but we overlooked them. We had asked for extra pillow since the ones we had were very small and were told they would send some up if they could...

This motel offers quaint views of funerals/burials from your room (hope you don't believe in ghosts). As a bonus, every step from the room above sounds like the old folks up there are going to come crashing through the ceiling. And if you have pet allergies, you are in luck, stay here and suffer to your heart's content! The pool...

My stay was in early February. We met other family members who also stayed here. I had a double double room, which was on the bottom floor. I really liked my room because there were sliding patio doors that led to a nice grassy area to walk the dogs. Very convenient. The room was clean and with plenty of space....

Wanted to getaway for a few days and came across Lighthouse lodge. We stayed in one of the cottages and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. Everything was clean and nicely set up. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wine and snacks at 4 and breakfast starting at 7 am were unexpected and very good. We...

Traveled with my two grown ( but young) daughters so was looking for separate sleeping space since one of us (ahem!) snores. The junior cottage with pocket doors between the bedroom and living area (with pullout sleeper sofa) suited our needs. Three females were able to share the large bathroom, and the wetbar with frig allowed us to stay in...

We chose this place because of the price, location, free breakfast, and it is dog friendly. We were surprised to notice that our room faced the graveyard but that did not bother us because the short stroll to the ocean front is exactly what we were seeking. The breakfast was above average and we loved being waited on. We thought...

Quiet. Very clean. Friendly staff. Our quaint lodge room featured free WiFi and cable TV, plus a mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker, ironing board, blow dryer; We had a fireplace, with a large flat-screened TV in living area. Amenities include free hot breakfast and daily wine-and-appetizer receptions. Lovely dining room. Guests have access to an outdoor heated pool and a spa,...

This hotel has is 3 blocks from the ocean. The upgraded rooms have a fireplace and comfortable beds. (Some with a small balcony). Bathroom is very small but the shower is large. It is a nice affordable hotel if staying in the Monterey area.
