My husband and I LOVE the Hotel Paseo! From the moment we drove up to register until the day we left, every single person on the hotel staff could not have been friendlier or nicer. This is a luxury hotel that is not stuffy, is decorated with funky artwork, has a happening vibe, is extremely clean and comfortable, and is located in the heart of Palm Desert and El Paseo. We rented an electric vehicle and were surprised to find the valet plugged it in every night. He told us this was included in the destination fee, as was the cost of parking. The beds were exceedingly comfortable and the bath amenities were excellent. The housekeeping staff were wonderful. One day, the housekeeper did not take her tip (Always tip your housekeeper daily!!!) and when I went looking for her to accept it, she was so gracious that I think I have a new friend for life. We did not eat at the restaurant/bar, but it was a hopping place every night.
Two minor things: the pool area could have been tidied up a bit after its heavy use, including skimming the pool. And when we stay here again (which we will for Pride in October/November), we will ask for a room on the top floor. The last two nights, the room above us has young kids stomping on the floor all day and night. A call to the front desk led to a staff member visit to their room and things were better for a while, but started up again later. Since it was the end of our stay, we didn't want to ask for another room.
Again, we look forward to our next visit this Fall and can't recommend the Hotel Paseo highly enough.

From the welcome at the start of our visit to the end, everyone at this boutique hotel was incredible! They moved us to another room when we requested it and did so without hesitation. The room was comfortable, nicely appointed and very classy. The coffee shop in the lobby made it easy to grab a quick light snack or breakfast. There was always iced cold fresh water in the lobby with various types of delicious fruit in it. They always stocked us up with bottled water. Nice touch, especially since it was 100+ degrees! The pool area was spotless, attendants incredibly helpful, and never overrun. Only thing: the water in the pool was cold. Cold. They had lighthearted games on the lawn: cornpoke, putt putt golf, ping pong, and a tic tax toe type of game. Offering yoga classes in the morning was another nice touch. The location was unbeatable: walkable to the all the shops and restaurants and even a grocery store. Simply a wonderful stay. Great car in the lobby, too!

Spent a weekend at this hotel as part of a "get out of town" from another trip in the Orange County area. This hotel was a great location to stay with good access to nearby restaurants and entertainment including casino's and Joshua Tree National Park. This review was completed during the Covid pandemic so many aspects of this hotel could change after the pandemic is over.
Pros: a) Good Location b) Awesome staff c) Nice ambiance d) Close to (up-scale) shopping and restaurants e) Good jumping off spot to Joshua Tree
Cons: a) Valet parking only, but plenty of free street parking out front b) Pool a bit small and crowded but at least was there to cool off in! c) Why do people think they can reserve chairs by the pool and then leave for the day?
Overall was a great stay for the weekend, the only amenities that were not open due to Covid was the main restaurant and of course housekeeping is by reservation only as it is with most Marriott branded hotels in California. If you need extra bottles of water just hit up the housekeepers in the hall, they are more than happy to get you anything you need!

Unfriendly and unaccommodating. After prepaying for 2 nights and needing to leave early to get home to my sick child, the front desk manager (Devon) showed no compassion and would not refund my second night despite me offering to pay the full room rate that I had originally been discounted. I was really disappointed with the lack of empathy and unwillingness to help. I’ve never been treated like this or experienced anything like this at a hotel before.
Moreover, the hotel design and accommodations are just cheap and poor quality. There is no apparent theme to the property and feels more like a bright, cheap 3-star motel than an Autograph Collection hotel. Overall, Hotel Paseo is well located and a clean, convenient place to rest your head but don’t get your hopes up if you’re looking for a nice, unique experience. I’d definitely sacrifice convenience to not stay here again.

Greetings from sunny Palm Desert kyler965, Thank you for allowing Hotel PASEO to serve as your home away from home during your recent travels into the Greater Palm Springs area. More importantly, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. Providing the highest level of service is our number one priority and I am sorry to hear that we fell short of delivering upon that objective during your recent visit. Upon a further review of your reservation details, it appears you secured your pre-paid accommodations through a third party, instead of booking directly with the hotel. We generally advise against this practice as it can lead to experiences such as yours where the hotel is simply unable to assist you with changes to your reservation as it was not secured through us directly. I am very sorry that this was not articulated properly when you were speaking with our team at the property. I am very glad you found the hotel otherwise to be clean and well located. I hope to have the opportunity to serve you again the next time your travels bring you into the Greater Palm Springs area. With kind regards, Michael Murray General Manager

Beautiful, modern, funky hotel MB status recognised & upgraded to lovely Exec suite Very nice checkin & checkout with Michael issue of $10 x 4 MB vouchers due to no breakfast facility in summer Fabulously comfy bed, double sinks, huge walk-in shower Shaded balcony which was great for early morning coffee Lounge cafe served very tasty breakfast sandwich Resort fee info on card & included courtesy shuttle & valet parking Beautiful pool area with hot tub & decent bar serving great cocktails Really quiet which was nice as it’s too hot for most in PD Located in a great area of Palm Desert with good dining options within walking distance
Can’t express how good this place is. So good that we are changing our plans to stop off & stay another 2 nights on our return journey to LA. Thank you for a very memorable stay.

We just spent two nights here and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location just off El Paseo and close to numerous restaurants and shopping. The hotel is newer, with a modern retro design. We stayed in a Premier Guest Room with a pool view on the second floor. We did have a fair amount of noise emanating from the room above but the room was fairly quiet overall. We had a small deck w/chairs, the rooms are average sized, with a decent sized bathroom. The carpet is beginning to get a wee bit thrashed and dirty, but overall the room was in good shape. Sadly, they have Keurig coffee in-room which is not good. Time to buy 150 Nespresso machines folks!! The beds/bedding was very nice, and the beds were super comfortable. Bath amenities are average, but bathrobes were provided, and they were nice as well. Housekeeping services available upon request. The pool area is compact but nice, but the pool loungers lack sufficient padding. Definitely need lounger cushions! The pool bar is adequate, but our real issue with this hotel is the dining. The coffee bar lacks sufficient selection of food, and the coffee is average. The Larkspur appears the have hours that do not support their guests-particularly for breakfast, and the lack of food poolside was frankly unacceptable (we were there on Valentines Day). The staff are pleasant, and Dave from Maintenance was awesome. We did not use the Spa services but there was an option which was nice. Overall a nice stay but definitely some weaknesses.

Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary by getting out of town (for the first time since March) and spending the weekend at Hotel Paseo. I was a little nervous about staying at a hotel and being out at restaurants during Covid. My nervousness was unfounded, and we had a wonderful weekend away. The hotel was super clean, ALL the staff wore masks, there was no daily maid service; so no one coming in or out of the room except us. They took lots of precautions including clean, sealed TV remotes, asking guests to not share elevator rides, and even cleaning things like the ping-pong paddles and putters between guests. There was plenty of room between lounges at the pool and the lobby's furniture was appropriately spaced. All of that made me feel safe. The hotel is a favorite of ours, and I'd missed it. The cool red Cadillac and beautiful Airstream set the vibe for a fun stay. Shout out to Neil for keeping my drinks by the pool coming. Love the hotel bikes too, we had fun cruising the area! The hotel is also right next to El Paseo shopping and I spent a day just enjoying wandering the stores, something I had not done in a long time. I also appreciated that the stores limited number of shoppers, and requested masks when in the store. I had so much fun that I am thinking this might be a great place to come mid-week with the kids, as distance learning can be done from any location, haha!

A rather pathetic showing. The hotel tries to project a hip vibe, but being hip is no excuse for too many cut corners. I was registered for a driving program...which they knew and knew that I would be gone all day doing it. The room was not made up. The hotel insisted that one had to "reserve" a time to have the room cleaned, bed made and new towels brought. Huh? They knew that they had all day to do the service. Then there was the lobby cafe. The coffee was adequate. However, the breakfast sandwich was pathetic... must have been made days ago and was not brought back to life when heated. Complying with the health rules doesn't mean these kinds of quality compromises.

Hello sfoeuroflyer, We thank you for your feedback and hope you enjoyed your time at the BMW Performance Center. Since reopening the hotel on October 1, we had to make several adjustments to services and amenities previously offered to guests before COVID-19. These adjustments were made to adhere to Marriott and local county guidelines that hotels are required to follow. Our front desk team is tasked with explaining these changes to each guest that checks in to Hotel Paseo and I apologize if we did not make it clear that we need our guest's approval to service their rooms. Unfortunately, without that approval or confirmation of a cleaning time frame, we will not enter a guest room to provide the usual housekeeping services even if we know they are not in the room. As an option for those that do not want their room cleaned, we are happy to deliver fresh towels, sheets, tissue, bath amenities and pick up trash, that guests can place outside their rooms. We also appreciate your feedback about the offerings in the lobby café. We will evaluate the breakfast sandwich to see if it's quality was possibly compromised due to freshness or preparation method and we will make the appropriate adjustments to provide only the best products to our valued guests. Thank you again for your feedback and traveling during these unusual times.

I had a nice stay there at the start of summer. Our bed was fantastic and the bar and restaurant was so perfect that we ended up eating every meal there (service was on point). The guys at the pool bar where really nice and there was fresh towels out every day. Only problem was the oily scum covered tile on the pool. We got here on a Fri. and stayed the weekend and the tile was covered with suntan oil and sunscreen on Fri. and stayed that way throughout the weekend. Honestly looked like an oil tanker wrecked in the pool as there was that much oil scum on the tiles. This is honestly unacceptable for any Marriott location. My wife wouldn't even get into the pool. On a positive note, my wife said the massage was excellent and the spa was very nice. One more thing....Told us "No Room Service" (Twice) even though we informed them that it said they have room service on the website.

Greetings from sunny Palm Desert Doug N B, Thank you for allowing the team at Hotel PASEO the privilege of being at your service during your recent travels into the Greater Palm Springs area. At our hotel we believe the most expeditious means of improving the quality of service and product that we provide to our guests is through their direct feedback, be it good, bad, or indifferent, we view feedback as a gift. I am very glad to hear that you found nearly all aspects of your visit with us to be enjoyable and I am particularly happy to see that you found our restaurants to be so enjoyable that you chose to dine at them for each meal while you were in the area, that is very flattering. Please accept my most sincere apologies for the cleanliness of our pool not being maintained at a higher level while you were visiting us. I will review this feedback with our director of engineering to ensure the necessary procedures are in place and being reviewed to ensure a similar breakdown does not occur during your future visits. I thank you once again for taking the time to provide this feedback to us and look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you back to our beautiful hotel again in the future. With kind regards, Michael Murray General Manager

I needed to book this hotel for a group of nine people who are attending a local conference nearby. I had never visited there before, but thought that the location would be ideal. When we arrived, everyone in the group absolutely raved about the hotel. It was clean, beautiful bright, they had an excellent outdoor area with games of fire pit and a pool. The location was absolutely perfect for being able to walk to nearby shops and restaurants after our conference. We were also able to eat at the Larkspur Grill. That’s right on site. Several of the evenings were there they had live music and dancing and made for fun atmosphere. However, our room is extremely spacious, and very quiet. The bathroom Was gorgeous and the water pressure was some of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. We absolutely will come back and agreed as a group that we no longer want to even attempt to stay at the conference hotel that we want to stay here next year again because of the great experience we had. I also want to give a huge shout out to the two young men who are decorating the lobby for the holidays. They worked all day and set up some of the most beautiful decorations that I’ve ever seen. They even matched some of the Christmas trees to the awesome artwork. That’s all around the hotel.
