To get away in Palm Springs is to relax and forget about your fast paced life in LA. For the most part Movie Colony was not a bad hotel, as far as the pool, the location, the free happy hour was concerned. But beware, do...More

We stayed in a townhouse at the Movie Colony this past weekend and were underwhelmed. We found the Townhouse, number 29, to be in need of repair and a bit beat up and had a strange order that remained all weekend. It was over 100...More

There are lots of food choices depending on your budget within five minutes walk away. We have visit this part of Palm Springs twice and love this end of town, loads of intersting boutiques to explore. There is one hike about 15 minutes away, starts behind the museum but depending on what time of year your planning on visiting, day time temps are hot for hiking so head out early. Regarding the room question, the room we had did have a small fridge, but not sure if all the rooms do so worth asking the question directly before booking. Love Palm Springs
