Upon my recent trip to Palm Springs, I choose Travelodge for Hotel and temporary domicile. This establishment provided a conformable bed to lay my head, pool, Hot tub parking and internet connection. The staff was warm, friendly and provided direction to room I had acquired. I would utilize this establishment again when in Palm Springs.
Great location but money needs to be spent to bring room back to a enjoyable stay. Carpets are stained, roof leaks all over the place. Black out blinds look like someone has shot a gun at them.Showers are stained. You cannot use cofee maker with microwave without power failure.Room is only cleaned every 3 days. The pool area is the best spot but the wood is starting to rot. Hot tub was never working properly. Jets don't work and some days it was cold.
This place is in a sad state. Only the outlet in the bathroom can hold a plug in the wall, the TV is screwed down to the dresser, which has a broken drawer falling out of it. All of the furniture and paint and wallpaper is worn and peeling, the desk is barely standing. There’s a sad, displaced office chair in the corner of the room. Hair in the face towels. Sharp plastic temperature knob in the shower is almost frozen into place. Couldn’t get out of LA in time and missed my check in window, so they charged the night (which is fair) but then cancelled the reservation so they could rent the room out again, without any attempt to contact us. Wasted 30 mins at the front desk trying to find the reservation just to have to pay for a new one. I’ve stayed at some really basic, cheap hotels, but they were at least clean and in working order. This place is more like somewhere addicts come to hide out and be unconscious.…
The hotel is definitely showing it’s age and could use some updating. I see a lot of potential with it. I’d guess a lot of people, like myself, stay due to the pet policy. There is a lot of grass surrounding the hotel, it’s well maintained, perfect for the dogs. Every member of the staff that I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a “gentleman”, and I use that term loosely, checking in at the same time I was. He was throwing a fit because a room was not ready for him to check in early. I was embarrassed for him and being a part of the LGBTQ community, embarrassed as well. Every staff member that dealt with him was calm, apologetic, and extremely respectful. I don’t know that I could have done it. Shows good leadership within the organization. The room was dated and could use some different flooring. However, it was clean, for what they have to work with, the towels and sheets were bright white, bed was comfortable, has Wi-Fi, fantastic views! It is in a nice neighborhood, no strange people lurking around. All in all, very good for the price.…
This was my second stay. I won't stay again. I can get past the deteriorating condition because the staff is great and location and price are right. I can get past the lamp that requires unscrewing the lightbulb to turn off, the broken tv stand, the exposed rotting wood on the walkway, the dirty grout, cracked bathroom tiles, loose seat, questionable shower ,etc. and the empty gatorade bottle left in the room. The deal killer was the bugs (cockroaches?) crawling out of the drain. That was just too icky and caused problems with the partner. Thankfully, I booked on Priceline and got a price even lower than the Wyndam price. Why that is, I don't know but condition and pricing policy undercut the brand.
Nope. What a shame. Location is good, but the rooms are sad with showers that barely work. The staff were kind and doing their best. The place attracts sketchy people - no security on grounds. I didn't feel safe traveling alone. In the morning, the police were inspecting a room a few doors down from me. Never again....
We stayed overnight as part of a road trip. It was horrible. The room was tired to say the least. The entrance door was broken, the room smelled dirty and damp. The sheets and towels appeared clean but the room did not. The pool was grubby and maintenance people were spraying the pool area with some kind of paint. The atmosphere did not feel particularly safe. Avoid this place if you can - one star is too generous.
When I checked in the lady at the front desk tried my credit and said it didn't work, that is was declined, so I handed her a different card and she said it went through. At first I didn't think anything of it. the next morning I checked my accounts and noticed I had been charged on both cards. I went to the front desk before we left and they assured me that I was only gonna be charged once and that the amount would be refunded within a few days, if not to call and they will sort it out. Of course I had to call... 4 times! Only to be told they don't see 2 charges and they can't do anything about it. Then I emailed the Wyndham company directly MULTIPLE times and no one is returning my emails. They robbed me. Customer service is absolutely horrible.
If you are a family travelling please do not book this hotel. The staff are very kind but the facilities are awful. The room was very old and if you walked on the carpet your feet were black within minutes. The shower was very slow, there were cockroaches living in the bathroom and the AC was incredibly loud. The pool filtration was not working to full power so constantly cloudy and dirty. The worse element though is the clientele - we were awaken by Police raiding the room next door and arrested two individuals. There are people with ankle tags (from jail) and all sorts of other things going on (which I cannot bring myself to type). I did not feel safe with our 13 year old daughter.
I spend 50% of my life in hotels all over the world and this is by far one of the worst. I’ve stayed in cleaner East Asian hostels. The rooms look exactly the same as they did when I was there in 1988, only broken and disgusting. Filthy doesn’t do it justice. Dirty bedding, holes in walls, falling apart. Roaches bold enough to run around with the lights on. The only reason this property hasn’t become a crack den full of prostitutes is that it’s too expensive, but they would feel right at home. This place is so far from a Michelin star rating that the only guidebook you would read about it and was written by Dante Alighieri. I feel incredibly lucky I wasn’t robbed and murdered in the seven hellish hours I spent there. This place is too far gone to even be renovated and should absolutely be condemned and bulldozed. If it hadn’t been late at night where I was exhausted and without other options I would’ve left as soon as I opened the door to the room. Avoid at all costs.…
