This place is beautiful! We didn't spend a lot of time in the room. But it was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful (especially Tara) and there was plenty of steaming hot water in the shower. We would sight-see each morning and spend 3-4 hours each afternoon at the amazing pool. Early each evening before dinner we had drinks on our semi-private patio overlooking the pool and the exquisitely maintained grounds. Any pictures you've seen online don't do the place justice. It's nicer! After dinner we would sit by one of the outdoor fire pits. It was spring break and the town was packed. But this resort never felt crowded (even though we heard it was fully occupied) and the guests were pretty chill. We enjoyed several long conversations with people from all over the country. We would have given it a 5 of 5 rating if the rooms were more updated and the wifi was a little faster. Considering the ideal location and compared to neighboring resorts the nightly rate was a good value.

The location of this hotel is perfect for accessing downtown and being walking distance from museum, trails, restaurants, etc. The grounds are beautiful and pool area is better than most. But!... rooms are small, dark, and outdated.. Internet did not work the entire time we were there (5 days/4 nights). Desk staff was not helpful with this. Having to pay for a cup of coffee when the room plus amenity fee was over $300 a night is insulting and stupid. The beds were good but no choice of pillows and the bathroom was in serious need of upgrades. Shower just barely gives you enough water to get clean. Highly disappointed for the price paid. The name should not include 'resort', it is misleading as spa was closed... Maybe Palm Mount Motel w/Pool.

Dear JeanP_M_13 Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience and feedback on your recent stay with us. We are very grateful as each review allows us to improve our guest experience. While I am glad to read that you loved the our location with the short walking distance to hiking trails, restaurants, museums and everything there’s is to do in Downtown Palm Springs, I am very sorry to read that your stay did not live up to the high standard we set for ourselves here at Palm Mountain Resort and Spa. For this reason, I would like to speak with you personally regarding your experience. Please contact me directly at the resort to ensure that we do everything we can to make this right for you. Sincerely, General Manager

We spent 4 comfortable nights here in mid-November and I thought it was great value for what we paid. Yes, as others have mentioned, the rooms are dated and could use some sprucing up, but for the price, it was a great place to stay. Our room was spacious and our balcony faced the pool - and there were grapefruit trees all over the place, and we were able to just pick a grapefruit from our balcony - this is amazing to us Canadian neighbors!. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the lobby is attractive. And best of all, they had free Starbucks coffee available every day at 7 am in the lobby!
We did not need the air conditioning, but I do have to say the heater was a bit noisy. Earplugs are definitely needed, especially on a Saturday night when there was a lot of noise from latecomers and traffic. But other than Saturday night, it wasn't too noisy.
While we didn't use the pool or hot tub, the evening fire by the pool was a nice touch. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, there was plenty of parking available, and there is an ATM beside the lobby. I would definitely stay here again!

We recently spent 2 weeks at the Palm Mountain Resort and it was lovely! The location is second to none - we were able to walk everywhere and enjoy the delights of downtown Palm Springs. The room was a little dated but had everything we needed and it was extremely clean. We were able to see some of the newly refurbished rooms and they are stunning. On arrival our bedside light was not working but a very friendly and approachable maintenance person soon sorted that out. In fact all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is very spacious and we enjoyed some beautiful early morning swims. The Market Place shop works well - complimentary coffee from 7 - 11am. Due to its central location you are only a 2 minute walk from the many restaurants and bars in Palm Canyon Drive. We would not hesitate in recommending this excellent value for money hotel and hope to return very soon.

To start with, they wanted to put us in a room without an elevator, with very heavy luggage. Luckily got another room. There were still markers in the room under the bed from the previous visitor. Coffee maker in the bathroom?! Very hygienic. Air conditioning cannot be adjusted, it is scorching hot and when you turn on the air conditioning, it is freezing cold and a lot of noise. No option for breakfast, we went to a restaurant across the street with our tour group, where it was terrible. Hotel is located close to the main street with only expensive restaurants, no fast food nearby. Not for repetition

We wanted a hotel a little closer to downtown this trip, so thought we would try Palm Mountain Resort for its great location so close to Palm Canyon Drive. It is a very quick drive from the airport, and there was plenty of free parking onsite. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful - gave us an even better rate than we had booked, and a late checkout! We had a deluxe poolside private patio king room. Main floor, nice and spacious, comfy sitting area with sofa, desk and large TV. Also a microwave and small fridge, and a safe (a must when travelling out of country with a passport). I liked that they have refillable containers for all the bath products. Bed and pillows were comfy. WiFi was good. We prefer not to have daily housekeeping disturb us, and were able to arrange a couple of days that suited our schedule. We had our own little patio overlooking the pool, and right by the hot tub. It wasn’t too busy the week we were there, but I can imagine that on a busy weekend it could get quite loud with people right by your patio, and a higher floor might be more private. The little shop in the lobby is handy for snacks and forgotten items. We went over every morning for the complimentary Starbucks coffee. The pool was great, not crowded, lots of loungers and umbrellas. The grounds are lovely with bougainvillea and grapefruit trees, very well maintained. There is not a restaurant onsite, but very nearby Jimmy B's restaurant does the “room service” for the hotel and will deliver breakfast and lunch to room or poolside. (Their food is excellent). The resort fee is made clear at booking, so shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would certainly chose this hotel again.

Good: Location - hotel is located right behind the main Palm Springs strip. Within 2 min walking distance to food, shop, museum and Starbucks.
Staff: the checkin was easy and friendly
Neutral:
The on sight spa is very small with 5 treatment rooms. You can only go in if you have appt. The therapist are not part of the hotel but independent contractors. But you can still charge to the room. The deep tissue we receive were good but the walls are thin and you can hear people outside if they talk.
Bad:
Room/Decor- for the price they charge ( we paid over $650 for Saturday and Sunday stay in mid Feb) the room is disgusting. Though the room is large the decor is beyond dated. The sofa is so stained and the chair belong in the trash. We tried turning on the heat in the room and it produces a burnt smell that we had to open the patio door for 30 min to air out. That's when we realize that the "divider" between the rooms have a large gap that anyone can walk through, giving direct access to our window and room. So we just lock the door and kept the blinds close. The walls and door are paper thin. You can hear people walking/talking as well as cars driving by (our room was facing the back street). Please refer to the pictures
Tip:
their resort fee include gym access but the gym is not on sight. It's located somewhere else.
They also only clean your room every other day. So if you are like us and only booked 2 nights don't count on the bed being made or free towels. They claim it can be requested but we didn't bother.
Overall: Although we made the best of it and did not let the "resort" ruin my birthday trip I would not recommend this location. Very disappointing.

We were so very disappointed and shocked at how worn and dated the rooms were. Tiny beds(full size). The first room we had was pool side. The door latch was so loose anyone could easily get in without effort, you could see light the entire length of the door jam. The refrigerator was missing all of the shelf bars so you can’t keep drinks there. It was very dirty, doors were extremely worn, bathroom door was a pocket door and bottom was all chewed up, you couldn’t even latch it. To top it off, we found roaches.
Called the front desk, they said they would move us to a VIP room…which was the only other one they had and happened to be right above our current room. So no longer pool side, which was what I wanted and paid for, and required us to use stairs that I had hoped to avoid. . The room was IDENTICAL to the one we had, just as dirty and worn. The door latch at least wasn’t so loose. However this one had areas of carpet lifting and one of the lamps had the bulb hanging by wires, which was a fire hazard. It also smelled terrible.
I paid up a bit expecting to get something better than a Motel 6 and it is much, much worse than you could imagine. I have stayed in many hotels and none that have ever been this bad, even for less than $100/night. The online photos lead you to believe these are clean, updated rooms which is extremely deceptive. Any updating is shoddy, no exaggeration. I found Cheetos and other garbage under one of the nightstands. You can tell they don’t vacuum well, and dusting, wiping furniture down is bare minimum.
I attempted to find another local hotel with no luck, none had all of the nights we needed available. They led me to believe they were fully booked so we made do. I spoke to management the 3rd and final night about my concerns and that I had hoped they would compensate us for the troubles. She offered us a credit for the $22 resort fee, and we could move rooms again. Why would we want to do that twice, especially when we knew we would end up with the same issues.
You see decent reviews which blows my mind. What are people comparing it to, what have their stays been like at other hotel to give anything better than a 2 star rating?
. I am adding what photos I took, but they should be enough to turn anyone away. Please take my experience and avoid this hotel.

The room was dark and dank and overwhelmingly musty. After traveling from the east coast, we arrived at the pool Saturday morning at 10:30 to find not one lounge chair left. People had saved large groups of them for their large groups. I’ve never seen a “resort” not have enough lounge chairs for their customers, and after a lot of trips to the front desk to see if anything could be done, they finally brought out older ripped ones - better than nothing! The whole reason for being there was the weather and relax by the pool. Thank you to Julio, who carried out the chairs. It took at least an hour though. The music blasted all day. Sunday was better at the pool.

Dear Thequeenbe, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It's comments from valued guests, such as yourself, that allow us to improve our product or service. I'm sorry to hear that the shortage of chairs affected your ability to enjoy the pool area. We ordered new lounge chairs before summer and still waiting for them to arrive. In the meantime, I'm glad to hear that Julio was able to find you some of our older chairs to use. Although not ideal by any means. I know this doesn't make your stay better, but we will have more chairs any day now. Sincerely. Patty Davis General Manager

pstThis hotel delivered for its convenient location next to downtown restaurants and shopping, as well as for its large pool area. Rooms vary considerably – we asked to switch our King Patio room first floor for the same-priced King Pool view – second floor – after seeing that the walled-in patio was adjacent to the main parking lot. The elevator wasn’t working, making it a bit of a struggle to bring up our luggage, but the pool view room was definitely worth changing for. Even though the pool was large enough, you really couldn’t have more than eight people at a time due to social distancing. During the mornings, there were few in the pool so that wasn’t a problem. The jacuzzi and spa were also closed. I asked that the manager to please waive the $19 per night resort fee which was supposedly for the use of pool towels and two bottles of water – and she did. Overall, still a good value and nice, central place to stay during the pandemic.
