I've stayed at Dinah's for decades. It's a lovely place, well maintained, with nice features like the koi pond. We stayed there with our one-year old grandson, and he loved it, too. We could have stayed elsewhere with our extended family, but we insisted on coming back to Dinah's.

In an area where chain hotels abound, it's a treat to stay in a family-owned hotel with lots of charm and character. The rooms are set amidst lovely gardens. Everyone on the staff is extremely helpful. All in all, a terrific place to stay.

The staff was outstanding. I arrived at SFO late and after having a late lovely salmon salad in the restaurant made it to my room. It faced the pool. At 11pm , I realized I didn't bring my tootbrush. Within minutes one was delivered. Normally I don't like motels like this. They can be noisy and run down. I was...

First visit to this family-owned hotel but will happily return next time I'm in Palo Alto. The setting is lovely - like a quiet oasis - and features lush gardens, koi ponds and a sizeable heated pool. Bedroom was very comfortable and decorated with Asian furniture and pictures. Enjoyed breakfast one morning in the pool-side restaurant - good quality, reasonable...

We stayed here for a long weekend along with several other family members. We loved the soothing atmosphere and the friendly attentive service. There are many hotels that use names like seaside and are blocks from the sea. This hotel contains the word garden; we really felt as though we were vacationing in a beautiful garden, complete with lagoons and...

We and our teenagers all liked the garden-style surroundings, the heated pool and the koi ponds with their enormous fish. Breakfast in the pool-side restaurant was so good, we decided to try dinner there. It was outstanding. Fine-dining at reasonable prices. We also enjoyed our huge rooms decorated with one-off art and furnishings from Asia. This is a highly individual,...

This hotel pleasantly amazes me every time I stay there. This place has become a very sacred and special place for me and my autistic daughter. Very clean and the amenities are more than I could ever ask for. The restaurant is incredibly good. The pool view from all of the rooms is spectacular.

Beautiful hotel surrounded in garden and water. Nice interior design. Something you would not expect Clean, friendly staff with lots of parking (free of charge). Recommend to book directly and get more for your money. Having said that, it is a bit pricey, personally I prefer paying more for a pleasant experience especially when on business

An oasis. All wonderful. Very relaxing, very clean. Does not feel like a hotel, more like a holiday resort. After some heavy days at Stanford University, it feels like holidays, truly. Food at the pool is decent and not expensive.

Dinah's Garden Hotel is my preferred hotel when I am in Palo Alto. Beautiful place to be. Only recommendation is to provide espresso in the restaurant in the morning. The breakfast is good. See the pictures.
