The motel was a plain box block. Large moldy stains on the carpet and bathroom has sewage and moldy odor. We put up with it because we were redirected from a pre-booked nonrefundable but closed hotel when we arrived. It's a downgrade and no compensation was given. The continental breakfast with no hot items beyond coffee and toast. Half the parking lot was taken up by used car sales operation spilling over from next door. Never to return.

Don't waste your money find another place . Horrible hotel. Dirty, old, small roaches . The rooms are old including the awful carpet with burns and stains everywhere . We got there and carpet had a fan because the carpet was very wet. Will never come back will pay more at another hotel. Not worth 100 a night. No way!!!!

The first 2 days we were there the hot water in the shower was not working so i went to the office and the desk clerk immediately called the maintenance man to go to our room and turn the water up at the valve behind the faucet! Not once did they make us feel it wasnt their problem! Nice room and an amazingly comfortable bed! And the breakfast was really good too! Thanks guys

Pasadena Rose Inn was OK; nothing special. older property, so nowhere to sit for "breakfast" except in your room. "breakfast" was coffee, hot water and packaged oatmeal. This location is out of the way...NO ocean or town view. Well maintained by on-site managers. I guess ALL rooms in Morro Bay include the $5/day "resort" fee, but this property is decidedly NOT a resort.

I was afried to begin with the doors don't lock right. The police were called for disruption. Burns in the carpets, shower not usable because of soap scum, Walls needed repair, coffee maker didn't work and I could go on and on. I do not recommed this place to anyone unless your a drug dealer or lady of the evening. I will never stay again until all is fixed. Being a grandmother one of my grandsons was coming with me, so glad he didn't..

Old and smelly. This place is in need of some serious upgrades. The bed had cigarette burns and bleach stains. The coffee maker and shower were gross. The patio chairs all looked like they came from the trash, ripped. The Wi-Fi wasn't working so I called front desk, he said he'd reset the modem, still didn't work. I also asked for an extra towel and was told he'd have to ask his manager. What?! 30 minutes later, I got a thin scratchy towel. I had to drop off the remote and room key next door to Travel Lodge... Uh ok. I was not pleased with this place at all, especially for $100.

We had a 2nd floor room that had been freshly painted. Other rooms were still being worked on. One got the impression (from the office with all its video monitors of hallways) that perhaps this had been a long-term hotel/motel and they were remodeling it to make it a regular motel. The breakfast (which I had to remind the Chinese clerk whose English was just OK was included) is across the parking lot at the Travelodge (where we have stayed in the past). It has the usual cereal, juice, coffee, toast, packaged Danish, apples, some rather old looking bananas, and a new waffle maker. The room itself was large. The king bed was reasonably comfortable. There was a newer TV, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a hair dryer. The bathroom had a shower which worked, but the hot water was on the right and the cold water on the left (which took awhile to find out), plus the left one turned on counterclockwise and the right one turned on clockwise. There was only one washcloth and one hand towel, but two bath towels and a bath mat. Because of the limited English of the people in the office, we decided to use one of our own colored wash clothes (instead of asking for one from the office), which we always carry so we have them when we go to Europe (where it is not the custom to provide wash cloths). The heater worked, but the directional part of it kind of "twirled around" and could not be adjusted. There was a huge window and a balcony (which it was too cold to use in December). The sink had no stopper, so one had to be careful not to drop something (like a contact lens or ring) down it. The water did not take too long to get warm. The sink tapf had the hot on the left and the cold on the right and turned on in the usual way. There was a huge mirror and a long marble (or imitation) counter below the mirror (which I like because there was plenty of space for toiletries, etc.). The parking lot is not huge, but had enough space when we were there. There is an old elevator at the far end of the building, but the guy in the office didn't understand when I asked him whether there was an elevator (or a lift), so initially we walked the stairs, but used the lift for getting our suitcases to the 2nd floor. Because the elevator was a bit old, we decided to use the stairs the rest of the time. The back end of the building (away from Colorado Blvd) has a handicap ramp, which is also nice for getting suitcases up to the first floor. All rooms are accessed from the central hallway (on both floors). The room had a large closet (the width of the adjoining bathroom) with a few miscellaneous hangers and a shelf across the top. Ours was labelled a non-smoking room and because it was newly painted, it did not have any smells (of cigarettes or paint). The drapes seemed new. The blankets did not. It was not that inexpensive (but this is Pasadena and it was a few days before the Rose Parade, when all the motel prices go way up). However, with taxes it amounted to about $90 per night.

Room was big, not a luxury hotel but did its job as a place to pre party and lay our heads down after the concert. Location to the Rose Bowl was key as it was an 11 minute drive with traffic. If attending an event at the Rose Bowl I would stay here again because it was fairly cheap and close to the venue
