Good things.. Great Bargain, free parking, close to downtown, reasonably clean, friendly and helpful staff Not as good... Could be cleaner, would be nice to have side bed tables, awkward furniture layout, noisy traffic, need more power outlets

Retro motel with modern amenities like cable TV and minifridge. If like me you love the nostalgia of the original motel sign, bathroom tile and built-in desk. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room comfortable and clean. It was also surprisingly quiet, especially considering that it is located on the main thoroughfare in Paso Robles, and the motel was full. My...

Interesting and fun experience. This little motel is just like the motor courts I used to stay in back in the 1940s and 50's. This place is immaculately clean, and the rooms are small but very comfortable. The lighting in the bathroom is better than most upscale hotels I stay in. The owner's are friendly and it is obvious they...

Our 1st choice when we go to Paso Robles. I'm sensitive to perfumed cleaning products and it seems this motel uses these to a tolerable minimum. I didn't try the pool but it's close to the check-in office. Parking is convenient and all rooms face the parking lot; not an enclosed building but each motel room door is accessed by...

We stayed at the Melody Ranch Motel for one night during a road trip. It was basic, clean, very quiet - an old-fashioned, retro motel. We enjoyed it very much. The word "vacancy" was burned out on their sign, so it just said "no" - like, don't even ask! Wonderful.

This is the type of motel that was very popular from the post WWII era and are rare today. There were more of them when I was young but even then they were considered nostalgic. One story motel with only 20 rooms owned by a couple who live at a home next door (I met the husband who mentioned this...

During a family trip throughout California, we decided to stay at the Ranch for a night. What a fun unexpected delight! The appearance is a total throw back to the 70ś, Though the appearance is from a time from the past, the place is very clean and well maintained....the minute we opened the door to our room, the smell of...

We stayed a couple of nights to enjoy the concert in the park. The location is great for visiting downtown Paso Robles. It is one of the inexpensive places to stay so don't expect luxury. The rooms were clean and Internet access was stong. The room did gave a small coffee pot but no hair dryer or fridge. The interior is...

A little old, a little worn, nothing special, not a corporate owned big giant holiday inn, but pleasant. The front desk was old style fill out a card with your info. The keys were actual metal keys as opposed to computerized chip cards. The pillows were thin. The towels were not big and fluffy. There was no bathtub, only a...

Before we (2 couples, 2 rooms) booked we read the reviews on TripAdvisor. I was concerned because the other couple would have probably booked something more upscale. But I wanted some place that was 'walkable' and would save us money so we could eat well and wine taste. The good things were this hotel had comfortable beds and was quite...
