I go here every few years when my travels work out. They are dorms and a hostel but love, love the coast and staying at the cottages where the lighthouse workers lived. They supply the sheets though the plastic bedding is hard to keep the fitted sheet on the bed. Whether its a stormy night or just a regular Cali...

Pidgeon Point, just down the road from Ano Nuevo State Park, is a point of land that juts out into the northern portion of Monterrey Bay. Accessed off of Highway 1, this amazing historic light house continues its amazing watch over the treacherous ocean. Pidgeon Point offers a cozy 4-building hostel for overnight stays. You can request private rooms or...

Wonderful stop on Highway 1 with a hot tub overlooking the waves. Natural setting that is awesome! Very relaxed atmosphere and nice place to resource. Nice kitchen where you can chat with passing travelers. Very historical place and a step into the past.

Our family enjoyed staying one night. Games etc available board games. Nice view of the ocean. Shared kitchen. You can sign up for the hot tub but we passed. Parking is on a common lot so you need to walk about 200 meters to your room from the lot.

We stayed here after a friend who had visited recommended this place to us. My husband and I stayed in a "private room" but still had to share a hallway bathroom with other people. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. The sheets were good quality (Threshold brand by Target) and there are several pillows to chose...

I was pretty amazed at the view. The rooms are clean. I love that you can bring your own food and cook. We only stayed a night but we will definitely come back. If you want a peaceful and stress free get away, this is the place to be. We went when the moon was full so it's pretty exquisite....

Beautiful location! Very comfortable beds, clean, it was right on the beach. You can BBQ there as well. Met a lot of nice International travelers. I would highly recommend booking ahead, they sell out fast.

Thanks to previous reviewers on your recommendations I too found out this is another great place to stay. Loved the views! The guy who checked us in was so friendly and I think they scripted him as Crush the dude talking Turtle on Finding Nemo! We arrived at 1.30pm check in is 3.30pm so we went for a drive to...

I paid 4-Person Family Room for $180 a night. It is one of the 6-bed bunk bed room in a building. There are 4 rooms share a bathroom, big kitchen and common sitting room in a building. It is neat and clean. There was a small baby with family stayed in the adjacent room. We did not hear much noise...

First time we stayed here was in college and then not long after. Simply put, what hotel can you stay at where you get ocean view property for dirt cheap? Sure, you need to help out around the hostel, but you can come out in the morning and enjoy the sea with a cup of coffee! We want to take...
