M fly guide and I come up every year to fly fish the Clarks Fork River, and before we start our day we would stop at Kennedy Modows for Breakfast. Well this year we went and WAITED about 45 minutes to be waited on. Two couples came in after us and got waited on and ordered and got their food... More

Roll back to clock and experience a Sierra adventure unlike any modern day vacation. Here you are free to enjoy nature, hiking, fishing and horse riding with very few rules and regulations: obtain a wilderness pass and a fishing license and the rest is up to you. The Resort and Pack Station is your gateway to the Emigrant Gap high... More

Not many places left to cowboy. This "resort" is one of them. While most folks go fishing, the real value is in their horse flesh. you can day ride, or if the mood strikes, take an overnight saddle trip. For me, getting my gear dropped at 10 , 000' so I don't have to cart it from 6500' is worth... More

Our family (about 24 of us) has been coming up to Kennedy Meadows every year for 37 years. It is a great place to unplug from all the electronics in your life and connect with people. It's also a very safe place to bring children and let them roam the grounds on their own. This is NOT a resort in... More

NOT a deluxe accommodation, restaurant, or store. The cabins are, putting a positive spin on it, heavily used. The restaurant serves simple diner type fare. The store has basics at a high markup. All that said, Kennedy Meadows is one of my favorite places. The cabins are GREAT as a launch point for Emigrant Wilderness adventures. The store has what... More

In August of 2015, I went on a 5 day horsebackriding trip advertised by Active Travel, Inc. The group of 7 all consisted of senior citizens, ages 60-71. No special riding skills were listed. I had read one positive review that stated the ride lasted seven hours. The paperwork I received stated that the destination was for the same location.... More

We had a great time and the cabin was great. We made the short hike into the meadow to fish. And had a so much fun. Some of us fly fish and others fish with bait. All of us caught fish and a few were kept for a meal. We have been coming here since I was a teenager and... More

The prior review by "Gyorgi" is clearly a contrived "hack" job by someone with an ulterior motive. Ignore it. * My wife and I visit Kennedy Meadows whenever we can and have for 39 years. Before that, three generations of my family have been regular visitors since the 1920s! The scenery is staggeringly beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxed, the restaurant's... More

My dad goes up every year. I have joined him a few times. I love going up just for the day to ride horse's. I also love to fish at the place. Can't wait to go back. I am taking my wife soon. They have a great restaurant with good prices. They have horses for new riders all the way... More

After a backpacking trip in the Emigrant Wilderness, dropping your packs on the porch and having lunch/dinner + ice tea outside doesn't get any better for me. I also highly recommend the cabins, which are rustic, but still awesome.
