Great, if somewhat remote campground. I spent 1 night here, camping in a tent after bikepacking through the desert from Las Vegas and crossing the Eastern part of the Los Padres mountains, in late March. It was my first impression of the "mediterranian" coastal California, and it was beautiful. The whole campground is one sprawling olive grove, with some spots...

Stayed four days. The lake is low, but you can boat, fish, jet ski and they have the beach swim area open. The "grounds keepers" very helpful and nice.!! The "grounds n bathrooms" are very clean. Only bad thing was the bugs. NO Bees! Deer, lizards, birds, squirrel everywhere. Will be going back.!!

The campground was average. No grass but most trees for shade. Its a dry campground so no alcohol is allowed. This was a big deal for us since we enjoy a late night drink and conversation. Boaters your boat must be completely dry or they will not allow you onto the lake. They charge for the inspection and are very...

We camped at Lake Piru for a month during the off-season. It was quaint and peaceful. The park was only at 25% occupancy. The bathrooms were kept clean. The showers cost 25 cents a minute and you can't control the temp. It was luke warm, which sucked because we camped there in Nov/Dec. They have a nice dog park. They...

Beautiful and quiet in late fall. Wifi was available but very slow. Okay for email but internet sites took forever to load. We we're looking for an apartment in Ventura County using the internet and the slow wifi was very frustrating.

This was our first trip to Lake Piru Camping. We had some concerns based on other reviews we read - particularly about the noise level and party atmosphere. But we gave it a shot because it is less than an hour from home. So glad we went! Perfect camping weekend. The campground is beautiful. Lots of trees. We had a...

We came here to have a relaxing camping trip. There is no cell service and they get you with having to pay for wifi. That is $5 bucks a day in top of the $42 for a site with full hookups. We couldn't find the swimming areas. All inlets are overloaded with weeds. Yuck! It would be great if you...

It was my first time to go camping with friends and the basic amenities in the area are very much accessible. The park attendants are very polite and helpful as well, and have kept the area clean. The ranger always have an extra wood or ice to sell whenever you ran out of your supply.

We spent a very relaxing two days camped among the old olive trees in this out of the way recreation area. The staff of the new management company were welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The entire area was very clean and well kept. The bathrooms were convenient and clean. We surprised and pleased at the availability of services for RVs here...
